Where is my SR 4x2 Tundra ??????

I ordered a new 2022 Tundra SR 4x2 Double Cab V6 w/Torque on March 22. I have yet to receive it. ??????? My dealer says it's because of Toyota allocation. He said it's not because of parts/chips shortages or labor shortages. Seems the SR 4x2s are in production in San Antonio, TX but they are being shipped to West Coast area dealers. My Dealer is trying to sell me a SR5 4x4 but I do not want a 4x4. A 4x2 fits my needs. I fail to understand WHY Toyota will not allocate/ship one to the Midwest area. My dealer will not return my phone calls either. I am extremely frustrated!! I just want my Tundra. I am at the mercy of my local dealer. Has anyone else out there had any problems trying to get their SR 4x2 Tundras ??

Back in 2019 i went to a dealer and wanted to order a 4x2 sport. The dealer said Toyota would not ship a 4x2 to New England. I went to 3 other dealers and they all said the same thing. I don't understand why. I couldnt even find a 4x2 of any model in New England. The closest dealer that could get me a 4x2 was in South Carolina. Good Luck, hope it works out for you.
