Where did this part come from?

Help!

I was going through my parts box, things I've removed or replaced and ran across this thing.
I don't recall removing it....

Could it have been part of the front dome light assy?

Any chance you can post a pic of it installed? I must have removed it when I changed out bulbs for LEDs

 

Negative. Mine is sitting on a shelf in my garage haha

 

LOL that's fair. I'm gonna put mine back in the loose parts box I keep in the garage I guess. The LEDs are bright enough and they don't get hot so I guess this part is no longer needed.

Thank you sir. I don't even remember changing to LEDs. It's been a couple years and a few thousand beers since then.

 

You're probably right that the LED wouldn't be any brighter with it in.
I gave up trying to get the reflectors back in on the front map lights..
They went into the trash..
