It brings me great sadness that my loyal 08 Tundra at 196k miles (ready for another 200k miles after just doing tranny flush and brakes) is totaled. After researching and wanting something new/different I was leaning towards a new platinum f150 power boost or F250 platinum or ram rebel TRX. However, with the chip shortage and current vehicle market most places would not go below MSRP. $80k for a truck is ridiculous. I found a dealer who would do a New Ford at 4K off MSRP (5% above invoice). But I even then 73k after TT&L just didn’t feel right. Especially when I saw a random ad on Craigslist of all places when looking for wheels to swap off my old modded 08 4x4 5.7l DC (insurance company ain’t getting my new BFG KM3 35x12.5x20s!). Saw this modded 1 owner quick sand crew max and visited it. Fell in love especially for the price and reliability. Plan is to supercharge, put all my stereo equipment on it, possibly my lift if I have time, or I’ll just put a long travel kit on it. Anyways, I had been a long time member on Tundratalk and now it seems this is the more updated tundra website. I’m sort of an old but new member I guess. Pics attached of the old beauty and new one.

Very nice choice. Great color and looks nicely done so far. Congrats on your new wheels!

Nice. Looks like the girls were ready to go for a ride. Glad you didn't pay 73K for a Ford....I wouldn't pay $700 for one.

Whew! $73k makes for an awfully expensive friendship with the Ford dealer.

You made the right decision, and welcome to the forum!
