The 2021 Tundra SR5 I recently purchased came with the standard 18" OEM style steel wheels. I purchased used but as new "TOYOTA TUNDRA TRD 18" MACHINED FACTORY OEM WHEELS". Will I be able to use the same lug nuts the steel wheels came with or do I need to get different lug nuts. I have been told the factory steel wheel lug nuts are the same by some when pricing the swap at tires places and others say I will need new lugs. Seller indicated same lugs used and is only providing wheels and center caps.

    Thanks!

I have a 2016 tundra with steel wheels for winter tires, they came with their own set of lug nuts. Same for 2019 highlander.

Question is will the steel wheel lug nuts work on the machined aluminum wheels.

Usually steel wheels use a conical seat lug nut, while aluminum use a flat face washer. Spin one off of yours and take a look. Or, call your local Toyota parts counter and have them look it up.

The steel lugs will not work. You will need the “mag-style” lug nuts to work on the alloys.

The tpms sensors in the steel rims generally will not work in the alloy rims also.
