Bought a set of ICON Recon SLX wheels for my 2017 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew Max (4x4) with 5.7L V8 (non-flex fuel - regular) and have read on the forums that the studs can be a little short when using non-OEM wheels. Not sure if that applies with all aftermarket wheels, or only specific brands. From the forum, most appear to not desire to run Extended Thread (ET) lug nuts if not required, but no major negatives either with sufficient thread count. Haven't got the tires for the wheels or mounted (waiting to do it all as a suspension upgrade), but want to get the hardware on hand, if its required/needed. Also not sure if I need front and/or Front and Rear.

I found three possible wheel stud options in the M14.x1.5 thread for the Gen 2 / 2.5 Tundra (2007+), but lengths differ, and not sure what would be optimal, since the range is from 1.85" to 2.17" as shown below. I also shot a note to Kyo-Ei to check on pricing, but at the end of the day, proper fit/function trumps a few bucks saved to compromise safety. That info is below in case its useful to someone else.

As always, appreciate all the help and advice on the proper wheel Hub / Stud Bolts as always! Below that is the rest of the tire/wheel setup as I have it planned in case that's of use/helpful.

    Thanks in advance as always!
    Jay

I run the Blackhawk Japan units no issues. Also bought the popular set from eBay as back ups.

Did you need Front or Front and Rear both?

    Thanks,
    Jay

Fronts only for me as I have wheel spacers out back but normally people only swap the fronts anyway

Awesome! I have to run back to Japan so I may see if I can have delivered to a buddy and avoid the shipping charges.
Worst case, only the back wheels fall off....lol
