What's needed to change to get 3" in the front?

    I want to raise my truck up a bit. I am stuck between just leveling and adding that extra inch.. Is there anything I have to change to safely raise 3 in the front?

    Look into bilstein 5100s, they're adjustable. 3 settings. Better ride than a spacer lift. Anything over 3" you need new ucas. 3" and under you'll be fine.

    Uca or not, you dont want more than 3 inches of lift. Even going to 3 inches rides like crap due to the a arm angle

    I just lifted mine 3 inches with the Toytec Boss kit, upper control arms and shackles. Rides better in my opinion, but also went down to 18" wheels for more sidewall on my tires.

    The picture on his profile shows a gen 1, which has shorter control arms. Those ride pretty rough when you go over 2 inches in my experience

    It is a first Gen. I put the AT3's on it with 1 1/2 spacers and I have a little bit of rub. I averag 18, 000 miles a year and most is freeway, though I do pull a trailer for work occasionally or my camper. I definitely don't want to sacrifice too much ride comfort, but the tire rub drives me crazy.

    Those are rubbing? Maybe they are just hitting something plastic that can be trimmed
