What's everyone doing with this area?

I feel like this is a wasted space on my truck. Anything I put there slides off as soon as I leave my driveway.

 

A large package of Oreos fit there perfectly.

 

I put my work sunglasses there. Every now and then they slide out.

 

Mmm nice and warm on a sunny day...

 

Thats where my Dragy magnet goes. It’s definitely a weird spot, seen some people put mounts there for phones or tablets.

 

I added the victory 4x4 plate. That let me add a 67 design arm to my quad lock system I use.

I like to put my hat there and have it fly across the truck from time to time.

 

Same. I also put a box of Kleenex there on occasion due to allergies. It flies across from time to time also.

I'd love to put a camera mount of something like that up there, but after getting hit with a smash and grab for a worthless diaper bag in the back seat (not to mention stolen cats on another occasion), I'm reluctant to add anything on there that might attract the thieves here in Texas.

Got this little organizer made for that area, nice addition and it hold a cell phone at the right angle for driving w cell Maps/GPS. Nice quality and inexpensive.

I wish they made it a little deeper, or at least more square. If you make a slightly sharp turn, your sunglasses case goes flying across the cab. It's better than nothing I guess.

Rago system is versatile ... I only hang the rear view monitor when towing camper.

 

Why would one pick the Rago over the victory mount?

I'm considering one as a location to hold my DSLR on a quick release rather than in the passenger seat or passengers lap..

The Rago has more mounting positions.

 

Because victory 4x4 sucks. I’m too lazy to find the link to the great roof rack conspiracy. (Plus the tweety bird they carve in everything is ghey)

I'm working on installing a second 8.8" 480x1920 screen with a Flutter GUI to display relevant params so the main screen can remain for Android Auto. It'll also house the updated IO board I'm working on, making wiring and access a lot easier.

Not really relevant to anyone with standard radios but it should be a cool usage of the spot. The dash scoop has always bugged me. The 2.0s are even worse.
