Yup. I definitely miss some of the drives I got to do, but I don't miss the garbage boss, low pay, and getting injured because two people cost too much money.

Registered nurse here. After covid I decided to take the plunge of going back to anesthesia school. So currently a SRNA (student registered nurse anesthetist) about halfway through the program! Pausing life and accruing this much debt wasn’t in the cards at 32 but here I am

AutoCAD/Inventor software mechanical drafting, design & detailing for 20 years. It’s been a tough grind, pay, benefits and time off has all been mediocre. I finally got a job that pays well last year and it’s going good so far. I design and create sunroom drawings, this has been my first non mechanical job, I’m learning architectural now. So far so good. I’m at the point now in my life (turn 40 next month) I’m so sick of the daily commute, traffic and just the general slaving away every day just to make a living. I wish we all would get more time off to actually enjoy life more and relax.

Technically yes. But most of them are doing rotations down south to help them remember how to process and boost their immune systems.

Mostly on the Canadian side.... Although seemed like there was more of a presence coming out of Niagra into New York than there was when we came through on the 5 into and out of Vancover (again stronger presence on the Canadian side of the tracks)!

    A bunch
Quite the opposite when I did surveying on the border. Did it for 3 months between Quebec and New York/Maine and about 5 out of 7 days we'd get a US Border Patrol come racing to us (could hear them from miles away) but only 1 in 7 would we see the CBSA.

Yes. contraband typically runs through some of the 7 nations land as they have land on both sides of the border. Agents will play the long game and wait til it leaves the rezzy’s if they’re able to track it. Plenty of things slip through. Not easy country up here for the most part. Then there’s weather.

Was gonna answer but yeah pretty much what everyone said already. I used to care about being secretive about what I do but eh I’m sick of no coverage of what’s happening on the news. Shits crazy, I’m in faaar West Texas now but was in South Texas before and that was chaotic too.
