Living in the city I see a lot of bad parking jobs but this one has me scratching my head.

this guy is taking up the last space on the street from the crosswalk. He has about three feet behind him of allowable zone parking. I'm basically boxed in now. What would you say or do in this situation?

I've never done it before because I refuse to be "that guy"

But that guy is getting my tow hitch shoved into his grill.

I'm assuming he pulled onto your bumper being as you said your boxed in. If thats the case that driver is either an a$$ or a retard. Can you get it towed? It would suck to get a ticket or worse if you do what seems the logical thing to do is and shove that car backwards a couple feet and then leave. I am dealing with a neighbor that we like but who has moved what seems like his entire extended family into their house. Its a rare day I come home and don't have 3-5 cars parked along my curb. Now i know i don't own the street but when I can't access my property to pull some stumps or load up dirt and bush's i have removed because they are blocking it i start to get pissed. They park all the way up to my driveway some days. I want to do all kinds of things but have managed to stay somewhat calm(for now). My newest thought is to get a set of Go Jacks and just move their car across the street or down around the corner. Maybe those would help in the future if that kind of thing is normal where your at.

Edit: Never mind just googled them and they are $200 for a set of 2. Never had an idea what they cost....we just had them on our Repo trucks.

Call and have it towed. Cant do anything illegal here as the dipshit probably has your license plate number.
Stupid people are not worth getting into trouble but that guy sure does need to learn a lesson.
These days theres cameras everywhere so you would be filmed doing what i would like to do.

If I was completely boxed in I would 'push' that car back a few feet to get out. If there is no one in front of me, I would just pull out and leave it alone.

I'd like to think that unless you got some real liberal judge, that if you took these pictures to court (after smashing his grill) that there would be some type of compassion for the situation.

    Im probably 100% wrong haha.

I would say, "hey pard, could you please back your car up a bit, I'm afraid it might get damaged getting out, you parked so close"
Usually people are obtuse or distracted, not intentionally vindictive. Regardless, I have learned to try and always give people the chance to do the right thing.

If i had the time to wait....sure. But seriously....how distracted are you that you don't notice you hit someone...or bumped them? If you are that distracted then you need to re-evaluate your life.

We're not seeing the front of the truck. It wouldn't even be worth the hassle, to me. I'd be off like a prom dress. Not to mention, kindness kills people like that, if you encounter them, just a thought.

    Ya that sucks.

Years ago, back in the late 80s, I had moved back to moms house, she had a lot of problems and had basicly checked out, so I moved back in to get her going again and take care of my two younger brothers.

Fast forward, I came home one day and car was parked in the driveway, up to the garage. I parked behind it, since street parking at that house was tight.
I figured it was a friend of moms, nope, no was home.
I had a buddy stopping by and we were going to meet a few others for dinner and hang out.
    So I left.
I get home a few hours later to cops and a upset person who happened to be the owner of the car parked in my driveway. Turns They had been visiting a neighbor and decided to park in my driveway.
When I left I had left my car, in my driveway, blocking them in.
Cops were like nothing they can do, I said well don't park on private property that does not belong to you and you will not have these problems.
On and ON and ON, cops said listen can you move your car so they can leave, sure will, and while I do that I want them trespassed and if they ever set foot here again they go to jail.

It was rather comical in my eyes, and that person never parked anywhere my place again. lol

That's insane and would drive me nuts. People are so stupid. Wish you had a full shot showing front of truck with nowhere to go. If you and the car in front of you parked properly, I'd put it in 4wL and push that POS back enough to get out.
