trying to figure out if it's worth the aggravation and research to put it in myself. It will be one of the kenwood models. 2018 D.C. Non JBL. Always done things myself but nothing modern like this where everything needs to integrate.

I am in similar situation, finding out the install are pretty reasonable. Especially if you buy with shop. You will probably have to buy the dash kit and a harness. In Houston area the labor is about $75-100 for the install, not real bad IMHO, reasonable enough to let them do it. Call around your local shops and get pricing.

I paid 250$ but I also had them install a KAC001 controller and run all new RCA cables along with tuning the amp. Was about a five hour job, but it is right now.

Pay the extra $150 or so for a Maestro and harness. Piece of cake to DIY and keeps the integration features

Been a kenwood guy for 25 plus years. Already looked at crutchfield. Has anyone done the install with the maestro? And was it a huge pain in the ass?
