Are any of you adding weight to the back of the Tundra bed to improve traction during your wet and icy winter North Texas months. What are you using and where are you putting it. I already have good Michelin tires.

New to my Tundra, but I would put about 200 pounds of sandbags in the bed of my Taco over the rear axle. I had a bed mat and they didn't slide. I plan to do the same for my Tundra soon before it starts snowing.

I'm in mid-western Canada where we have snow and ice for 6 months of the year. Some add between 100-300 pounds between the wheel wells but with good tires and reduced speed I've managed to be fine with no additional weight. my crew cab seems to add plenty of additional weight.

Following this. This will be my first winter with the Tundra. I live in a snowbelt area so we can quite a bit of snow. I was going to start with 2 of the 60lb sandbags placed over the rear axle.
