Hello all, for those of you who have owned and or driven the different trim levels can you share your thoughts? I plan to get a 2023 Tundra 4x4 and deciding between the TRD Pro, the 1794, the Platinum, or the 1794 with TRD Off Road Package. I want a something with a great ride, quiet, reliable, great resale, and comfortable. I can get any of the trims mentioned at sticker or below, please share your thoughts. This will be a daily driver and want a great and comfortable ride . Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Used this (think it's an older chart for the Canadian versions) to help drive my decision - Platinum.

I think the pro will hold its value the most, followed by the 1794 with TRD OR, and Platinum/1794.

if you want real leather, that will rule out the pro.

A great riding vehicle is something that only you can figure out.

If you’re concerned about resale, my experience is that enthusiast trims like the TRD Pro retain their value at a much higher rate than luxury trims.

You don’t mention how long you to plan to keep it, but I’m going to guess that you’re not planning on keeping it for 10+ years like a lot of us. That will really impact resale.

If your plan is to only keep it for a year or two, then resale impact matters relatively little.

If you plan to keep it for awhile: 10 years from now (or even as little as 5), the TRD Pro will still appeal to an audience that will pay a premium for the top enthusiast trim level. Luxury, while fetching a premium from the first buyer, does not pull in the same resale dollars down the road after 5 or 10 years. Generalizing somewhere here, but people who can afford luxury trims, like the 1794, tend to want new vs used. Case in point: Think of all the luxury trims of SUVs and cars that are sold at half the price of their original MSRP after 5+ years.

    My 2 cents.

My original thinking was the Limited with the TRD package but the other things I wanted led headlights, 14” screen, heated and ventilated seats, etc… was going to be damn near the same price as the platinum trim. I knew I was going to do the factory lift anyways so I got all I wanted and more with the platinum. No regrets.

easy decision on 1794 vs plat

    1. 1794 can get OR package, plat cannot
    2. 1794=bright chrome all over the place / plat=only chrome is the front grille and even then its dark chrome
    3. otherwise 1794=plat for features
