Hey everyone, first post here. Have owned GM trucks all my life but been looking into v8 Tundras for a while now. I've ridden in one a few times but otherwise pretty new to them. What should I look for on a 50k mile 2020 SR5? Anything obvious that would be a no go? Guessing it won't have a trans oil cooler unless the owner added it? I pull boats here and there.

The big if is cam tower leaks. The heads are built in layers to hold the valves and cams. One of the layers that supports the cams is the cam tower. That layer can fail to get sealed properly at the factory, or they used crappy sealant. If it leaks heavily and needs repair, it's a $$$ job north of $5k. If it weeps or doesn't leak at all, you're golden. Look for frame rust as well.

Just bought a used 2020 same mileage. Yeah I looked For leaks and rust. The interior and exterior weren't the best but the guts seemed to be perfect. Certified so it had a warranty too. Happy w my purchase.

if there are any leaks I would Walk away. That's just me. I'm sure it's between 35-40k$. I would Never pay that knowing there is an issue like that.
