I just took off my original running boards because the drivers side board has a dent in it (pictured). Are these worth anything, or do I just take them to the scrap yard? I’m mainly just trying to get them off my hands.

Reach out to a body shop or something and they might taken them off your hands?

Throw them in the trash where all running boards belong!

On a more serious note, post them to marketplace and make a few bucks, you won’t get anything near msrp in my experience. I took the ugly factory step rails off my TRD Pro when I bought it so they were mint condition. Retails for $699 I think, I got $200.

I have a brand new set of the OEM running boards just standing there in my garage (for the last year and a half) and for the life of me, have no idea what to do with them either. Marketplace drew a blank and I gave up after that, lol.

I donated mine to another forum guy that was doing a Rhino-lining to his other OEM steps. Sat for free on Craigslist and Marketplace for months before that. Still haven't gotten around to recycling the chrome grille and hood bulge that nobody seems to want either.

Lol, that's funny because I JUST got rid of my OEM grille after a year, for a whopping $25 on Marketplace. I think he bought it out of desperation on my behalf. The grille is off my 2021 Tundra sport and he has a 2016 Tundra...No idea if my 2021 grille is compatible with his '16 (I haven't heard anything back from him). I did let him know that I wasn't sure if they were compatible.

They are all backwards-compatible to 2014, so that's a nice swap if he likes the look. He won't have the sensors to connect up behind it, but it's otherwise a swap made in 15 minutes.

Now that I'm remembering it's still gathering dust in my garage, I'll hack it in quarters and toss it in the recycle bin tomorrow. Garage space is worth more apparently!
