I'm getting ready to do a head unit upgrade to a Kenwood Excelon ddx8906s from james@tech12volts. Getting pretty excited about that one but I also plan to do other electrical upgrades.

I've seem some videos where installers are using t-tap connectors and I like the concept. It seems that there are a lot of really cheap ones out there that don't work well. My question is what brand are you using that works best? Thanks in advance!

    T-taps are junk.
They may be "easy" but they compromise the wire by cutting into it for contact. This is the worst possible connection for an automotive environment. Soldering is best, and very easy too. A quality crimp connection is second. But I will never, EVER, use a t-crap in any situation in my truck. Just my opinion, but it happens to be right.
