So I'm looking at installing some 2021 take off shocks & springs on my 2007 DC TRD 4X4. These are the OEM black shocks & stocks springs with 3,000 mi.

My truck currently has 265k miles on the stock yellow/blue TRD setup.

Has anyone made a similar change before? What was your experience?

Edited to add: my truck's got 20" Platinum wheels so IMO the ride's stiffer than to be expected with as many miles as I have.

I wouldn’t install those on anything. They are complete junk!

The black shocks are the softest, expect some wallow in turns and the black shock will start to lose effectiveness at about 40k miles. If you can get them cheap and you are ok with that shock and how it makes the truck handle, could be a good option for you.

    Agree.

Wait for some TRD yellows, much better.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'd love for some trd off road replacements to pop up but Tundras and even more so, Tundra parts are rare in my area. Heck it took me 3 years to find a double cab topper within 3 hours of home.

I can get this whole aforementioned setup for $100. Will think on it more and decide...
