What makes you angry?

You, I and others I am sure feel that way, but I was reading that there is an actual thing as loan discrimination against VA loans, go figure.

 

Glad I am not the only one that felt that way, totally disrespectful, yea it is their home and they can choose who they sell it to but at least extend the courtesy to let the buyer know so they can move on. Honestly, if a seller lists a house and a buyer offers them list price, let them buy the damn property.

Where I moved to folks from the Bay area are coming up here and dropping cash on 800k+ houses, scooping them up at ridiculous high list prices. But now that era has come to an end, home prices are SLOWLY becoming reasonable, I am assuming this guy thinks someone is going to drop cash on his house and avoid all the other loan inspection requirements.

 

I think if there is a counter to an offer, and the other party does not accept it, then each party can walk. As a buyer, had an appraisal come in under list price, the seller had the option to accept appraisal or walk; they did not accept so I offered the seller the appraised value plus half of the difference cash, they did not accept, I kept my emd and bought another house.

I was down there Wednesday Tom car was parked for 45 minutes and it was caked. It's hitting up here now.

 

Doesn’t help that my property line is surrounded with pine. You can see the pollen just setting there. We need heavy storms to get it out of the pine trees.

 

We were coming down the interstate and I thought they were doing controlled burns somewhere. Took my sunglasses off and could see the yellow haze blowing off the pines.

In order to stay on my 40 acres of land out in the middle of no where for more than a week, I have to get a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). To get a CUP, I have to get an archeological review. To get a review, I have to submit an application and maps using Google Earth. Google Earth won't let me save the maps in the format they want as a file that I can email.
I could submit it all as a hard copy with the pages and maps printed, but they require everything to also be loaded on a disk.
Why the FU#% do they make this such a PITA?

It is over 20 miles to the nearest "town", but I'm going to play their game because the roof of any buildings can be seen from the road. I'm going to get it rezoned as a private campground and build everything right to the limit of what does not require building permits.
As long as I don't build sleeping quarters or a "permanent" kitchen and keep each building below 200sqft, I don't need permits just to build it to code. I can build however many I want.

 

It is a shame what has been done to such a beautiful state.

 

Even though my property doesn't fit what most consider "beautiful", I like my 1/4 mile driveway. And, yes, it is a shame the BS that is being pushed upon the people.

 

Having no people around to bother you is also a form of beauty.

Had the first clear night in weeks so I dragged this bad boy out to do some night sky observations. Neighbor decided to let their dog out which is cool but they turn on the flood light, for what reason, don’t know, I guess the dog needs light to shit but after they let the dog back in they leave the light on. So much for having night vision. Got to love people and their high regard for others.

 

Any telescope of that size should come standard equipment with a BB gun.

 

The old lady driving a Rav4 in front of me last night who felt the need to slow down to 20 in the 35 zone because she saw a photo radar truck.

 

Do people think the Cops will send you a check for going under the speed limit?

 

I gave her the high beams but she didn't seem to notice.

Photo radar is done by an independent company most of the time here, not the cops.

 

In the future you may want to get into the habit of saying, "I utilized the Flash to Pass feature of my vehicle, but unfortunately she was unresponsive"; in lieu of "I gave her the high beams"

Fuck photo radar. It's a cowardly cash grab that doesn't actually solve the problem.

I saw one of the photo radar contractors pulling into the gas station yesterday. I flipped him the bird because fuck anyone who would do that job and enable the government's corrupt theft of the public's hard earned money.

So yeah. Photo radar and those complicit in running it make me angry.

Btw, I've never actually gotten a photo radar ticket. I despise it on principle.

 

Wayyyyy back when photo radar was first started (California of course); a dude gets nailed for a violation; ticket and the accompanying 'photo' was sent to his house (this one was a PD operated device); wife opens ticket and sees her husband driving during the violation; wife also sees his 'passenger seat cover' of the female persuasion, but it's not her; she confronts him and subsequently ends up filing for divorce after he lied about the incident (dumbass didn't know she already had the evidence); he later sued the PD for a 4th Amendment Violation stating that he had a reasonable expectation of privacy in his own vehicle and the photo revealed some shit that normally would not have been seen

He lost that one!!!!!

 

I had been in contact with a well known offroad bumper maker since August of last year for some sliders, front and rear bumpers, and some BD lights. I had paid about half down and they sent me multiple quotes since October of the remaining balance but kept pushing out the completion date multiple times until they were finally completed a couple weeks ago. When they informed me everything was ready, they added in another $1,000 AND arranged to ship everything to a terminal that wasnt even "near by" where I live although we had initially agreed to have everything shipped on a pallet to my home. I had to tell them the additional $1,000 charge PLUS being unable to ship everything to my house was a deal breaker. So with that said, I had to call off the deal and now I'm angry.

Yes, life goes on... but just what a waste of time. Had to file a claim with my CC and all should be good. Anyway, just had to vent somewhere and this was the first thread I saw where I felt I could vent. No more cool bumpers and sliders for me but with a possible recession coming this might be more of a blessing in disguise.
