What is this sexy beast??

Watching some Norwegian disaster flick on Netflix called "La Palma" tonight and the main character's company vehicle is some sort of modernized FJ40 Land Cruiser with an extended wheelbase. The film is based in Spain, so I assume the vehicle is local. It's left-hand drive and the door and window controls look modernish.







The front end looks like the 1983 FJ, which was the last year that it was available in the US.



But the vehicle in the movie looks pretty mint and is an odd configuration. It also has more modern mirrors and trim.

Whatever it is, it is a sexy beast!

They also made the crew cab pickup version

 

My local Toyota dealer has had one in their showroom (for display only) for as long as I can remember.

 

The amount of cool Toyotas we don't get here in the US is insane
