Wanting to know if there is a good place to run wires from the battery back to the tailgate? Also do you know where I could buy a shielded wire harness to accomplish this? Thanks

Take a look at this related thread for wiring Pop-N-Lock and accessory bed lights.

Pop-N-Lock harness runs down the passenger side frame rail, but keep any new wiring behind the OEM harness to keep it from melting. Once you arrive at the FR wheel well you'll have to run across the firewall to the battery unless this thread gives you some new ideas for 12V power.

Search Amazon for jacketed cable with number and size of conductors needed.

I would run it down the frame in a wire loom on the drivers side. I put a fuse on that cable and mounted a fuse block behind the drivers side tail light to power bed lights, reverse/aux lights, and the dome light for my leer.

You trying to get constant battery power at all times or just power in general? I have my switch mounted in the bed and pull power from the trailer harness. All I do is turn my parking light on to get power to my led strips in the bed.
