I am wondering what brand/type/style bark collars you guys have used that work and which i should stay away from????

I have two female boxers. One is 85lbs (Chesca) the other is 55lbs (Bella). Chesca barks alot at people walking by, neighbors or dogs in the yard next door and the worst...squirrels. Its all throughout the day. Figure a bark collar would help not get fined. Have been warned in my old house and my current house already. They got annoying when i was home alot during Christmas/New Years break. I can see why the neighbors are annoyed.

Only want to add one on Chesca as most comes from her.

Here are a few i am considering that have decent reviews on Amazon.

We got the Bark Terminator at Pet Smart for $90. Works pretty good. upload_2016-1-6_15-20-38.jpgupload_2016-1-6_15-21-27.jpg
I've found that most Anti Bark collar complaints are usually getting replacement batteries. Batteries Plus carries most batteries for all collars. Don't let negative reviews about battery availability be your primary concern. Definitely go with the ones with high reviews on how well they work.

Are your dogs inside dogs or outside dogs?

I'm generally against bark collars specifically because it just teaches the dog to not bark...ever. And, well one of the reasons I have my dog is so she barks when she should bark.
For me, I have found e-collars and rewards to be much more effective because you control the dogs barking habits, not stop it all together. That said, if they are outside dogs and you are gone all day long. Kinda hard to train.

They have access to outside and kitchen all day long with a doggy door. I could spend the time to train them not to bark while i am home but doesn't mean they wont when i am not home.
I agree that i want them to bark when needed for an intruder but not to during the day when im gone at shit like squirrels and neighbor dogs.

If you are of that mindset, then bark collar it is.

I'm not exactly keen on the bark collars. My son's dog barked incessantly. After a couple months with the collar, the dog still barks, but doesn't bark near as much. It did take some training. The dog still barks at squirrels which is normal (and little birds for some reason). He used to bark at anything/nothing.
