I hope the same, especially since I am still cleaning up from the last one and I have fam back in 727.
That said, the last one damaged one of my filters so I am going to try to get some protection above them before this one hits.

    That is the thought anyway.

Welp, it is official... I am absolutely exhausted...

    1. Built the roof frame for the future pump house to protect the system from falling debris and then monthly serviced it.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-48-33.png

    2. Built a generator hut in case we lose power and I need to set this up. I still havent gotten the plumbing ran for the new tank to where the generator will sit, but this will get us through the next storm.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-16.png

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-27.png

    3. Tested the generator to make sure it was on the up and up.

    upload_2024-9-24_20-50-54.png

    4. Then I filled all the tanks on my camper to weigh her down... hoping it is all for nothing, but we will see. If we need to bail, I can hook up and dump the takes in just a couple of minutes.

Time for my fake cold ones and to do some stretching before bed...

    Congratulations dude! Way to go.
It’s amazing when you reach that moment where squeeze a weekend worth of work into a one hour nap.

Well boys, change of plans. The storm is heading my way and I'm not comfortable with the amount I still need to do. So if I do any posting the next couple of days, it will be in the camper thread as we are loading up and heading north.

But, at the same time... Damn proud of what I got done and appreciate all y'all's support!

Didn't actually do any work today but spent a bit of cash.

A 12k and 18k minisplit, 70cfm HRV, 1HP well pump, and supplies for a 60 amp sub panel.

Went into Costco for $40 of items and ended up picking up a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and stove that were open box and heavily marked down. Picked up a new hood and some stainless tiles to go behind the stove. Huge upgrade over the white builders units from 2001.
Installed everything today and painted a good portion of the walls.

Since we did the floors the counters now have to go. Since we're doing counters why not do the undermount curved apron farmhouse sink we've always wanted? Spent the day demo-ing, modifying the base cabinet, installing sink, and replumbing everything. We were very lucky that our master bathroom cabinet doors were the right size to steal for now since this sink required 4" shorter doors. Lowes even had 3" spread hardware to match the existing kitchen pulls!

Back washed the pool, going to cover it in the am. Depressing…yard is going to look like crap for the next 7-8 months.

Well Ladies and gentlemen I have the rest of the week off. I will once again try to knock out as much from the Honey Do List as possible.

Here is what I'm going to atrempt:
    1. Cut grass
    2. Build shelves in Master Bathroom
    3. Hang scrap wood self in garage
    4. Replace trim on house in 2 places.
    5. Trim a tree for removal (that fell during thr strom)
    6. Deep clean a mini split AC
    7. Build a workbench with a fold down miter saw stand. (Probably won't get to this, but will give it a try)

Just FYI... I have this Rigid miter saw stand and absolutely love this thing. It's stable, extendable, adjustable and rolls your setup anywhere w/ease (drive-ways, dirt, grass, rocks, etc...). Looks like it sells for $179 right now, but if you're not in a rush you can probably grab it at black friday or holiday sale if you keep your eyes out.

Well cleaned the mini split. That's going to be it from the list today. I'm pretty tired from cleaning up after the storm this weekend. Going to sit on the couch and watch TV.

All of that sounds fun, actually. However; seeing this list literally drives my anxiety up. I would need to have this done by EOD to calm the anxiety and ADHD down

It's not a hard list. I'll definitely be able to get most, if not all done tomorrow...we'll except for #7. That will be for another day

Got the shelves put up in the master bathroom.
Had to build ac filter vent covers for a property as they were getting harder and harder to put back on. Tomorrow will be yard work. And that will complete the list beside #7 (which I'll start, hopefully on Sunday)

Our Washer died on us last Thursday. We got around 8 years out of it so I wasn't too irritated. Bought another set from Lowes on Thursday night and they delivered it today. The dryer has some scratches on the side and a small dent. Washer has a small dent also. My wife said "You didn't seem upset about the dents - in fact you even smiled a little."

I replied "Because they aren't that noticeable and now we'll get a discount." :)

Also put in a quick connect dryer exhaust thing before they got here. I'll probably switch it out to one of those magnetic ones later if I can catch it on sale.

Heading off to Lowes to speak to the manager.

Got the shelves and loft framed. 1/3 of the shed almost done. Wife says we can house some migrants in this thing (JOKING). Time to sheet the loft and front.

I’ve had my Alexa thermostat for close to a year now. While it’s served us great,I want something to control our blower speeds so it’s not so noisy (I don’t feel like having to manually adjust it, per season, at the furnace). Is Nest still the “go-to”?
