I am In The process of moving in a couple months. Met my new neighbor who installs solar panels, so I might do it also if the numbers work out. The idea of energy independence sounds good. I will have propane but will add a heat pump for reducing costs. With solar and propane I could go a long time.

You could hang a tennis ball from a string that will hit her windshield or rear window at desired park spot. $1

    Tried that years ago.
She wouldn't stop when she hit the ball.
She has no choice but to stop now.

Besides that I didn't like the ball hanging in the middle of the garage when I'm working out there.
Money really isn't an issue for me, but thanks..

Apparently a 3" ball is more in the way than a 6' rubber stop at the feet , in front of the work bench. Lol

Finally had the roof replaced on the old farm house before winter, before my grandfather passed away he told me to always keep a good roof on the house and barn and that they would last forever.

@PLC721 as someone who is currently dealing with a lack of step flashing on parts of my roof, I appreciate how they added that flashing around the chimney. Also, that's a lot more green than I was expecting for Arizona terrain. Is that farm in another state?

    It's her car, not mine.
She buys and pays for what she wants.

The stop works fine, it isn't in my way..
Not sure why any of you care so much about it..
Hope you can find something better to do with your time..

I do one big project a year, and it's usually one that the better half has lobbied for. This year it was mine; tore out the old workspace, replaced the garage doors and fully insulated.

Formed the concrete countertop in the garage. A few adjustments to the mesh and it’s ready for concrete.

Check the build link in my signature.
Spent the day organizing and cleaning the basement storage and workshop. Not done yet, be we got through a lot. Moved five racks of shelving, loaded a ton of shit into the truck for the recycle/waste center, and chilled at least 30 gallons of old paint that we’ve held onto but no longer have anywhere in the house…

I’ve been wanting to do my three car garage project for years now. I moved everything out of the garage to give my epoxy flooring guys room to grind my floor and install an epoxy flake covered floor. I found a lot of unused space under my stairs and made room for my refrigerator to go under the stair landing.

Since my ceilings are so high I got a scissor lift to make painting and doing the electrical work safer. All of the walls and ceiling were all originally painted a flat beige color.

Here’s my garage after painting the ceilings white , painting the walls gray and installing the high bay led light.

Here is a little project I did in a day and half for a client of mine last week. I installed some old reclaimed long leaf pine and oak boards on their master bedroom coffered ceiling. I used 2”, 5, 6” and 8” wide boards. They were very happy!

I painted the back of the ceiling a dark brown first. I snapped chalk lines for my ceiling rafters. I did this whole install by myself which wasn’t to bad but it took a lot of back and forth walking outside for all my cuts.

I had to fix our pantry door - the screws stripped out of the frame. Bob Villa University to the rescue. I drilled out the holes, glued some 1 inch dowel rods in and then re-screwed.

I've also been spending the last two weekends trimming trees.

Washed the snowmobile trailer, then had some help leveling some of the bricks where it sits as the ones where the wheels sit were sinking a bit.

Very simple, but I got a cargo carrier today since I got the sequoia now. Decided to mount it on the wall right behind where I park so it's not on the ground in the way. Can't wait to build my shop tho!:(

Changed from small brown rocks to larger grey rose cobble to match the other side of the house. 7 tons. Had to rent the skid steer to save time.
