Were the extended end links necessary? To my knowledge they weren't with a 6" lift..

Do it yourself? Wrap or spray tint? Looks great and I am planning on using a smoke wrap for mine but I hear the taillights and a bitch to wrap, especially around those litle fins

I had them sprayed at a body shop. I couldn't do wrap or spray myself. The painter mixed black and clear for the first coat, then cleared over that for a final coat.

Installed firestone airbags friday. Ran the shrader valves next to the gas fill since I'm not planning to have an on board air compressor.

Did the 38 gallon fuel tank sat. Took about a solid 6 hours for the whole thing. Half of it was making small cuts to fit the crossmember in.

    Finished the Rough Country lift.

Not sure I like how high the rear is with the 1.5” block.

I have the Rough Country 3/1.5 and mine is dead-level. It seems like every truck is a little different. When I saw the kit came with a 1.5" block I wanted to order a 1.0" block because I was concerned about it being too high in the back, but I am glad I did not because it is just perfect level now.
Did you installed the full 3.0" in the front? (It comes with a 2.5" spacer and 2 1/4" shims for a total of 3.0")

I only installed the Front spacer, no shims on either side. Not sure Id want the full 3”. I like where the front is with the 2.5” spacer so that’s why I may go to a 1” block.

Other option is to go with the 1.75 front kit only instead. I didn’t mind how high the rear was from the factory.

As it sits now the Driver side front may need a shim according to my measurements .

I got the lifetime alignment deal at Firestone so I can make changes up front whenever but it’s definitely a PITA to do by yourself with hand tools lol rear blocks are simple enough.

The height/rake/look may grow on me. I’ll drive it for a bit before I make any other changes.

How’s the kit been for you? What’s your overall review?

I like it for what it is. It works for me and I get a lot of good compliments.
I initially wanted to do a 2.5"/1", but the installer ordered the 3.0/1.5 kit saying he can leave the front shims out for 2.5, but then the dilemma was the 1.5" block in the back. I decided to just go with the additional 0.5" and I am glad I did. I added the bigger tires, so it worked out good. If I did not do the bigger tires the 3/1.5 would have been too much and it would have looked like skipped leg day.
I would just try a 1.0" block in the back if I were you. See what that looks like. If it is still too high compared to the front, add one of the front spacers to level it.

Magnetic mount for phone/tablet. There are some that clip onto the vents, I have those in my wife's car and my DD. I was nervous since this is stuck on with 3M tape.

I tried one of those magnetic phone mounts. I didn't buy a cheap one. The phone jumped around like a crazed monkey in a banana factory.
I went with the Hondo Garage/RAM mount system.

I have the Scosche Magic Mount and it’s pretty awesome. Only time phone has come off the magnet is when my gorilla paws accidentally slap it. That being said I haven’t used it off road.

Installed USFS approved Axe and Shovel Mount to front of bed where they take up little space and are out of the way. As you already know the Forest Service requires all vehicles traveling the backcountry to carry an Axe, Shovel and a Bucket in case of wildfire. Have a canvas water bucket coming to complete the set. Might not need for wildfire, but always handy if you get stranded (not that a Tundra would ever get stuck!). I like these solid steel mounts better than the rubber ones.

Tinted tail lights today. Need to do the 3rd brake light still. Came out ok. Idk how long it'll hold up. I have a few little wrinkles but not too bad from a couple feet away. I cut around the "fins"

3rd brake light. Very easy 10 minute job to tint. I used vivid air release Light smoke vinyl off Amazon. Hopefully it hold up okay. I like the look a lot.
