What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

My wife and I take a lot of adventures to Colorado, Utah and lately Wyoming for skiing and mountain biking. I “restored” my 20-year-old Yakima box and decided to paint it to match my Inferno ‘16. Had custom made YAKIMA decals created. I installed Yakima locking ski racks underneath it and bike fork mounts in the open area on the passenger side. Our ski boots and duffle bags go in the Yakima box, our skis go underneath and bikes to the right. All of them are lockable. Back seat is wide open for our dog this way. Ha. We also use it on top of our 100-Series Land Cruiser occasionally.

Just finished up installing my Hertz k170 speakers in the doors, infinity reference cfx 3.5 in dash corners and dual JL tweeters in the center channel. Today was the last step, the drivers side door.
I also added sound deader to the plastic door panel. A few pieces here and there where I suspect rattles were coming from.
It's been a slow process doing a few speakers here and there. Finally complete and it sounds great. Very clear and crisp, no more overwhelming bass from the front door mid range, no more rattles and vibrations from the door panels either.
I would love to add an amp and really make the system come alive and get the full range from these great speakers I got from @james@tech12volts but I will hold off til I decide to finally change my headunit.

Also earlier today I swapped out my @dirtydeeds 6" BAmuffler for an 8" kit. Love the deeper tone and quieter cabin. Makes all that sound deadening I did worth it.

I decided to light up my garage this morning, adding 8 4' LED strips made a huge difference over the two light fixtures I had in there. Not the greatest lights, got them on Amazon for like $45. I have had them in my basment about a month now with now issues. Dont have great pics but here she is, all lit up after a day of mods. Don't judge me on the dirty truck, I'll wash it as soon as it gets above freezing here

Had the day off from work and too cold for sap to be flowing. It was either take the day to work on my truck or go split firewood. The truck won out.
I also picked up some oil and an OEM filter today, and ordered an aluminum filter housing and fumoto valve. Oil change will be next week. I'm at about 8k miles, but it's been almost a year since I changed it.

 

I hear u there. I got that same battle between doing truck stuff and splitting wood. The truck has bee. Winning that battle more often than not, so I gotta get my ass in gear and get my wood split for next year. Only got a cord or 2 split with at least 5 more to go. Problem is I can always find an excuse to put it off. But now were to the point I gotta do it. No more excuses even if it means truck stuff gotta wait. I couldn't do it without the truck between hauling loads off and on road, winching logs to me, and carrying all my saws n stuff.

 

Had good results with color matching the stocks. Now on to the aftermarkets.

 

In my garage I got three of those 4' LED strips to replace the old 4' fluorescent tubes (which are trash) and have been very impressed with how bright they are. As they should at 5400 Lumens each.

 

Love to see a picture of your set-up all loaded up.

 

I will post some pics as soon as I get them on. I just have to wait for some warmer weather.

Found a set of 1.5" Bora spacers for sell on Facebook. I had been considering 1"... Would the 1.5 be too much? Stock suspension, no lift. Would I run into issues with rubbing?

 

Added the @RCIoffroad bed rack. Took about 30 mins to put together.

 

I just noticed today that my tailgate doesn't lock when I dress the lock button on the key. Only when i manually lock it, it does. Would've thought it would since there's electric going to the back up camera.
