I have been rear-ended by these distracted drivers and even had my left elbow clipped while riding my bike to the trail, I'm for as much punishment as possible for them.

The guy that clipped me on my mountain bike even had the audacity to stop, check his mirror, then flip me off as he drove away further up the road. I was almost close enough to get his plate, when he sped away.

i like this. i do personally prefer to keep a hitch on to help protect me and my truck. i've had one person tap me in the back on an off ramp with my hitch. it broke her grille/bumper, but didn't phase me. i do like the tow and stow though. it saves my (an others') shins as well as still protects the truck (to an extent obviously)

caught some heavy rain and took a pic on my way to the gym during lunch.
    20210323_083247.jpg

then on the way back i drove through cracker barrells' parking lot. i have 7.75" of sidewall on my tires. this was with the lower part of the wake pushed out. so their parking lot prob had about 9 or 10" of standing water!

49... feeling like 79 after being air lifted from a Mustang GT total. Plus a few bad atv and dirt bike landings from pushing too hard. If only I could relive some of that and have slowed down just a tad when I was younger ...:frusty:

The only problem with leaving your hitch in, especially a drop hitch, is that you create a lever that can cause frame damage due to the bend moment, that you might not get if you are hit straight on the hitch receiver without that applied lever force.

with me lifted up, i know that's an option and possible. i'm with the mindset that leaving it in is for starters, easier than taking it in and out each time having it bobble around wherever i decide to throw it. secondly, if something/someone hits it hard enough, it won't matter and that will all be replaced anyway. i'm with the mentality that this will stop a lower car from going further under my truck causing more damage to me, but also quite possibly them ending up with a bumper in their face. could I be wrong about all of this...absolutely....i'm married. lol. but yea, i've considered that it's very possible for me to be wrong about all of my "educated assumptions", but have opted to keep it like this believing this works better for me and my scenarios

That's awesome, your son is going to love it. He and I seem to have the same priorities . The tundra is by far my favorite car and there's just so many possibilities when it comes to builds and things you can do. I bet it takes him 3 seconds!

Was getting tired of hunting for things at night in the cavernous pit we call a center console. Installed small LED lights and a switch to light up the pit by tapping into power from the cigarette charge port.

I have a ton of exterior shots! I think the outside is more fascinating to look at than the inside haha. For the tundra, I don't think I have any interior shots.
