The wheels look really good! I have a 2016 and the black wheels are dull and faded. Did you use a polishing compound or what? I'd love to do this to mine but didn't want to take off the finish on them with too aggressive product.

That is so stupid. No wonder we have some many Californians moving to Texas. Cost me $82/year for registration...oh yeah, and I have no state income tax. :)

3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
I'm looking at a Wilco Hitchgate with a 34" spare and trying to decide between the solo and the XL. Does the solo swing out far enough for the tire to clear the side of the truck when its open a full 180 degrees?

Well, I had 285/75/18's installed for about 3 weeks. I was trying to convince myself that I liked them, but they were just to small and skinny.

Went back to Discount Tire and said I made a mistake. They originally said they couldn't help me, but after some arguing, they agreed to refund me for the tires and put the cost towards a set of 37's.

They tried to discourage me and said there was no way 37's would fit a Tundra with a 3" lift. I told them to leave me alone. I did an aggressive BMC and trimmed the front fender. I am on stock UCA's and have Toytec Alumas 2.5's up front. No rubbing.

Lesson learned....just go big and you wont regret it. Went with Nitto Terra Grappler G2s

Interesting wheels. Are those stock Tundra aluminum wheels? I don't recall ever seeing these before.

Nope, they were standard in the US too on second Gen Tundras. I had a set on my LX470, many people bought them as takeoffs and put them on 100 series Land Cruisers.

Its possible but I think I have seen a few other people with the same wheels on this forum , They don't seem to be as popular as the TRD sport trim wheels

Won't you need to re-gear too if going to a tire that large in diameter?

These are a factory option ( steel is standard ) on sr5 trim level NOT equipped with the TRD offroad package. They come on 3rd gen Tundras as my friend has them on his 2018.

Interesting. Guess I haven't been looking close enough at the 3rd Gens with these wheels and mostly see the steel ones on base SR5s. With the right tires, these wheels look like a good upgrade option. Love your Avatar!

I use Flitz polish by hand, worked in it with a wax applicator pad and an old sock to get in the small corners.
Try to remove it before it dries.
I did the entire first wheel and ended up rewashing to get the polish off.

Amazon.com: Flitz Multi-Purpose Polish and Cleaner Liquid for Metal, Plastic, Fiberglass, Aluminum, Jewelry, Sterling Silver: Great for Headlight Restoration + Rust Remover, 3.4 oz: Automotive

Then went over it with Meguiar’s A1216 Cleaner Wax, since I already had it.
    Used a wax applicator pad.

    Amazon.com: Meguiar’s A1216 Cleaner Wax, 16 Fluid Ounces: Automotive

I buffed what I could with my buffing ball.
Removed the rest with a mircofiber towel.

Went over the center caps with 303.

Yeah from the dirty-7s thread, there were a few guys running 4.30 for a while, but they said that the 5.29 really brought back the stock drive.
