Pick up my mom from the hospital a while back...i failed to measure. Looked wayyyy close. It was. I scraped on the plastic warning sign then proceeded to be that guy and almost got stuck. Ended up backing up the way I came.

Not bragging here just figured I'd let u guys in on something. After a foot of snow and them not even touching the hill in front of my house I watched a plow truck, I think a big Chevy attempt to get up my hill.
After about 5 attempts with no luck he stopped to put chains on. After struggling another 5 times with chains he finally got up it to the top. Even with it plowed he struggled a bunch of times with chains. When he was all done he says to me good luck I don't know how you're gonna get up it with your truck. I told him besides driving a Tundra I was hoping the expensive Pitbull Rockers would get me up it.
Moment of truth, after watching him struggle so bad I gotta admit I was a bit nervous and feeling like 50/50 chance I could make it. I jump in turn off traction control, put it in 4 high and give it hell with my family anxiously all watching out the windows. Very first shot I flew up the hill, got a bit sideways for a second but I came up it so easy I felt I might not have even needed 4 wheel drive since the tires were gripping so much.
Point of my story, I've said it before but feel I need to reiterate, these tires are ridiculous. So much so I was gonna buy my next set the last time Pitbull ran a big sale like xmas in July. The only problem, I dont know what is going on with their company. I read horror stories online. I've left numerous messages and emails with no reply which has me second guessing buying another set from them. Now I'm at the point of trying to figure out what other tires I should go with next when these run out. I'm open to suggestions. It's a shame because these tires by far have the best most insane amount of traction in every possible condition. Wish I could get another set. Again not bragging, just letting you guys know if you can get a chance at buying these tires feel good about jumping on it.

I got 5100's installed at the middle setting on Tuesday. Driver side door sustained paint and sheet metal damage during the install or in the lot of the shop, so now the truck is away at the body shop getting some bondo and then re-sprayed. I'll post my before and after photos on level ground when I get it back. Here's an 'after' photo on uneven ground. I think I have a slight rake which is what I was looking for. I drove it in heavy snow and had no sensor issues, so that's a plus. IMG_9822.jpg

    Lots of shenanigans.
Swapped out some of the chrome out. I'll finish the rest of it at some point, but man was this a PITA to install. I really hope that AJT Designs will invest some of their holiday profit into some quality instructional videos. Great product but absolute trash instructional videos. It took WAY longer than it should have.

What took the longest? I've done the cup holder and shift bezel from AJT and was thinking about doing the climate knobs.

Yet another shifter handle. I have had the same handle on most of my cars since 1995. Had a dog named Indy at the time. IMG_9724.jpg

Went to the Toyota dealership (Michael's Toyota Bellevue) to get some headlight dust boots for my son's Sequoia and left with these bad boys!
Was talking to the custom shop guys about lifts and installation, which inevitably led to a discussion about wheels, and lo and behold, they have SCS wheels in the warehouse ready to go! Anyone in the Seattle metro/PNW area that wants some SCS wheels today, they have a few sets in stock. They have some SR8s and Ray 10s in a few different colors for the Tundra. As of a few hours ago they had one more set of the bronze Ray 10s. A $30 dollar trip for dust boots turned into quite a bit more, but man, super psyched to have my hands on some bronze Ray 10s! FWIW, the staff there were super helpful, great bunch of people!

Now off to the tire store to see about getting these mounted up!
