What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I haven’t done anything with speedometer, still stock...I did however do a video on the channel showing how the 35’s effected it compared to gps readings

Thanks Kelly!...and yea, I’m not done with this yet!...I’ve already had some viewers say something similar, so I’m thinking about doing more testing for the channel, including longer trips with highway mixed it...we’ll see what happens, thanks again!

While this is 1000% true, it also greatly hinders the sauce/noodle interface.

I think a tpms sensor fell off in my wheel. Going slow, I can hear something bouncing around. Would probably explain my persistent tpms light too.

 

Wireless carplay/Android auto is available from aftermarket head units but it would be cool for Toyota to include it from the factory

I've got a Cplay2air adapter that I finally got (took about 2 weeks to arrive) and haven't had a chance to set up and test yet.

 

Just a quickie. Replaced the three amber raptor lights with white LEDs.

 

Yep, I added the wireless CarPlay adapter to my Christmas list now. We’ll see if the wife ignored said request or not

You're probably right, but I did unscrew the light and there wasn't much slack. I could only pull it about about an inch or two max. I can all but guarantee they tried to remove those OEM lights on a Tundra once or twice, found it difficult or time-consuming, and said screw it.

How do you like that Victory winch bumper?

 

Ha. Wish I could blame it on my internet. Only working on a few brain cells today. The Victory bumper is awesome. It fits so clean. I love how it keeps the front of the truck looking stock. Plus it still fits with the TRD pro skid.

 

Sweet - I keep looking at that one vs the SSO one and have a hard time deciding. I'm aware there was 'drama' regarding Victory at some point, but I'm also a long ways off from pulling the trigger on anything like that so I'll be doing more research as the time nears.

 

If anything, I know there is room inside the SSO bumper on the side of the winch mount for the controller. There isn’t room for it in the Victory bumper, so the controller needs to go in the engine bay, or behind the grille.

 

Which grille is this and which bulbs did you replace with? I was just thinking today of this grille and changing it the bulbs if possible

I've had my wireless carplay for several months now and it is fantastic. Though I do agree that this capability should be included from the factory.

 

It’s an EAG off Amazon. These are the bulbs, I tinted them with VHT and clear coat. Ebay has direct replacement LEDs that are white tinted, but I ordered two sets and got the incorrect product.

They look well made and awesome but seem like they'd get in the way of using your truck bed...

 

Where to bulbs are, it looks like they're amber colored. Am I right on that? I was looking at getting blue lights possibly to go with truck, but maybe just white like you did too. Idk yet

 

Ordered a new TRD Pro grill and LED headlights.
Only to find out (after purchase cleared) that the grill is back ordered till January 27th...
Thinking about ordering a 17’ style TRD Pro grill instead but I’m torn. Open to suggestions...
