I do the same with a new vehicle. Typically in my underwear, laying in bed, until about 2 AM.

Sounds about right for any of us. Then we move over to being on this forum until 2AM in our underwear in bed.

 

Hell, it's 8:40 AM and I'm in my office and I'm still just in my underwear.

 

Well I've only had my retros a few months and now part of my drl leds have gone out completely. Started flickering first, now don't come on at all. Time to send it back.

 

Ugh. That sucks man, hope they take care of it for you.

The Grey Ghost hauled the boat last night that helped my brother and I catch 75 beautiful striped bass! This is my brother with the biggest one... 31" and 15lbs, caught in the pitch dark at 11pm! Unfortunately we're only allowed to keep 1 each...and nothing over 25". Still cooked up a great feed of bbq striper for the family tonight... delicious!

 

Didn't do much today, other than sign for a package...



3.0" coilovers and 2.5 piggy. Unfortunately I won't be able to install for a couple weeks, just bad timing.

Finally got some ramps and loaded up my bike to make sure I had enough room for it with the Truck Covers USA tonneau cover. I lose 8 inches with the box it retracts into. Everything worked great until I unloaded after taking it for a drive to make sure it was secure. Fucking back wheel dented the thin cheap ass tailgate. Not very impressed. I guess I should stick to trailering, which I do very rarely anyway; Normally just ride to the spot I want to ride. I guess I could put down a piece of 3/4 ply wood to distribute the weight. I can't believe this happened!

 

A buddy of mine has an 8 foot long 3/4 piece of plywood to cover the entire bed when he sticks his bike or snowmobile in the bed. He cut the wheel wells out so it doesn't move. Then he has hinges about 8 inches in that flop the tail gate length plus the extra 8 inches. Works great

 

Yeah, I'm gonna have to do something like that. Does a spray in bed liner make the bed any stronger?

 

I think that wouldn't have dented with a spray on bedliner.

 

Yes, but not enough to stop the bikes and sleds doing damage. The only way to permanently support it would be ramps to a platform

 

Maybe not the first time but multiple uses I've never seen a non-damaged tailgate without some sort of platform and ramps

 

Just did my first oil change at ~1300 miles. It was actually the first time I've ever worked on a car but I've worked as a bike mechanic for over 7 years. Not nearly as bad as expected.

 

Man that dented tailgate is BS. It's a pickup for petes sake. Should never have to worry about that.
