Replaced a corroded grounding cable, which didn't seem to be causing any problems but must be there for some reason. The bolts were too corroded to remove so you still see the old cable ends there:

And while I have the skid plate off I applied Fluid Film Black to the forward parts of the frame. Before/after:

Finished changing out my brakes and rotors (PowerStop Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow 5-Lug Brake Rotor and Pad Kit; Front and Rear). The rears were completely shot and clearly have never been off the truck. one too many dips in salt water. The parking brakes were fine though. All in I'd say that was the easiest brake jobs I have ever done; about 30 minutes per corner. The hardest part of the job was getting the heavy wheels and tires back on the hubs. Braking is way better than before. I'm not sure the rears were ever participating. they only had about a 1/2 in band of contact amongst the rust. Total cost: $435.34 +tax.

    Replaced the antenna seal
Relocated the front camera from the license plate to the grille. Not 100% stealth but it's not that noticeable and works way better.
Took a stab at repainting the red on the badges. It turned out OK but if you get closer than 1 foot you can see it's pretty rough around the edges. I'll might end up ordering some from a newer tundra that are black - or just black all the badges with plastidip which I was going to do anyway once I get a new bumper.

Well turns out my shimmy was a combination of a couple things. About 15% was the needle bearing, and the rest was the rock rings on my wheels. I was messing with the suspension to find something loose and I grabbed the rock ring to stand up and it moved almost 1/4". Walked around the truck tightened all my rings and the rest of my steering wheel shimmy is gone... So mainly still a balance issue. If yours is very slight the needle bearing may be your issue but anything major is still probably something else.

I checked mine as well, no slop. I think I'll try a tire rotation to see if that makes a difference.

Had the 07 CM gone over with NHO undercoating. This is the second year for this stuff and it seems to be working really well.Living in the Rust Belt sucks anymore.

Moved to Oregon from the Rust Belt last year. I don't miss the rust one bit. I'm glad your 07 is still doing well the roads if you drive it in the winter, I know at least 3 people who had toyota truck frames rust completely to failure in <20 years (one friend had a 4runner frame snap in half on the interstate, one uncle got his first gen tundra frame replaced under warranty, one grandpa had a 90s pickup frame snap while driving it across his farm)

Installed the AVS Aeroskin II on the hood. Haven’t seen anyone with it on any truck around here.

Also changed out third brake light to LED.

I know there was something else. Just can’t remember. Always doing something.

I have that, too. A much cleaner look, IMO. I do have to get some of that "black refinish" compound to put on it. Mine has faded in the past 2+ years. Haven't seen any other Tundras around Charleston, SC with one either.
