Changed passenger side ball joint. Drivers side will not budge from the control arm so I will have to work on it tomorrow since it got dark. Is that gap in the second picture normal during installation? There are 2 sets of holes in the stud. I torqued the nut to 45 ft lbs and installed the cotter pin in the upper hole.

She put some work in on this cold rainy day. Took the golf cart to get the battery box customized. The single Lithium battery was too big to put it where I wanted it, so found a guy who works at a fab shop.

The frame was cut and notched to make room for the battery then he welded in a piece of square tubing to reconnect the frame and hold the new battery tray.

Is the bearing surrounded by a rubber bushing or is the bearing pressed into the aluminum housing?

Holy cow, how did your bushing deteriorate like that? Are you using the spec grease?

No idea. I know I was not greasing them like I should have been. They have about 60K miles on them. The new ones are the maintenance free. I'm still not sure if that one is sitting correctly with the part of the stud that you can see.

Few I know running this with no vibrations. But I’ll definitely report back when all the items get thrown in.

When I had my surgery I started rethinking how I approach things for sure.

Love it! More to follow below:

    So Close!

Also so close to the one I got, hopefully yours works for what you need!

Ok, so the link for the one I picked is above. The one link I meant to grab had me rolling. As soon as i decided to find something, I went with what I know; which was a boat related item lol... You can easily make a poor mans version or buy one of the many many versions out there. The reason I chose this one specifically is that is was under $20 when I bought it and it is compact enough to fit on top of my swing case in the groove area. Hasnt fallen out yet so I am happy about that.

Late night last night and busy day with the kid today, so I missed the comments lol. Truthfully, I posted it comically not thinking it would get this much attention.

The eibach pro 2r arrived today from @memario1214. Black friday sale. Decided to tackle just the rear for now since, i thought, it was easier. Well, what a pita it was. The passenger side nut doesn’t want to come out. Had to use a dremel with a metal cutting disc to cut the nut off. I thought, maybe 2hrs top, bull honky. Over 3 hrs just for the rear. I am beat up and it’s cold out, even inside the garage, it was still cold. Anywho, got ‘er done.

Now I see the problem. I bought the same one as you but when I went back to link it, this one popped up instead. Here’s the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C6DWW1YF/

Apologies to @16MagSR5 …you’re not crazy!

I bought two of these…second one will be a white elephant Christmas party gift.

My best upgrade to my 2015 was replacing my headlamp assemblies. After trying many different LED replacement bulbs and being dissatisfied, with the beam pattern and general displacement of the original units. I was even looking into a vehicle upgrade, but I love my Toyota Tundra.... Besides, what would a newer tundra have that mine does not.
After a little research, I decided to put in the factory LED lamp assemblies from the 2018 model year, and they bolted right in without much modification. Now I have superior lighting, a great focused beam and can see down the road at least 3/4 of a mile or more when using high beam. And where I live, you need good headlights. I did have to alter the wiring a little,
But there is an adapter kit available.
And while I was thinking about it, the factory stereo did sound great. But I wanted a larger display, so I installed a phoenix audio unit and it has a display of thirteen inches.I believe looks really good installed. And yes, the heater controls are also part of that display unit.

What did the other side look like? I think that one is seated fine, both were like that on mine when I installed my new DK UCA’s (they came with heavy duty Moog ball joints pre-installed) You should be able to just squeeze and pull down on the ball joint dust boot and it will slide down and seat over that last 1/4” of the stud. You might want to double check the torque specs on those though I think they go to 81 ft.lbs. I found this to reference while installing mine, courtesy of @csuviper

Installed the Rago dash mount and ICS plate I just received from my Tundras Secret Santa...

This is going to be perfect for our phones and trailer camera when we travel. Just need to source some mounts now.

blacked out badges, 275/65r20 BFG K02's on stock suspension.
Just put 285/60r20s Falken Wildpeaks on. Rims are 20x9 +20 offset and Toytec 2.5 level in the front. Rubs a little at full lock on the mudflap. Hoping a heat gun can fix that. I had 275/65r20 K02s on before and they felt tall and skinny. These 285/60s make a pretty big visual difference in the stance, especially in person. I feel like they fit the rims a lot better too. Very pleased. IMG_8565.jpg IMG_8510.jpg IMG_8511.jpg IMG_8526.jpg
