Was looking at buying one of those small battery starters. How long does the full charge last? I don't imagine I'd be using it too often so it would likely sit charged most of the time. I like that this one has additional features like flashlight and can run other devices off of it.

Installed some sumo springs and new U bolts this evening. I went for the softest ones (blue). I had grown tired of the airlift bags with internal jounce bumpers that really rocked your back on large bumps. With my AAL it barely squats without the bags even hauling my camper, so I opted for these for just a hair more support and stability without sacrificing ride. Initial impressions is the ride is noticeably better over the big bumps. Less jarring, and it just feels really good!

Changed front diff and transfer case fluids (Amsoil 75W-85 and Ravenol 75W, respectively). Swapped out front diff hex drain and fill plugs for Lexus 14mm socket-driven ones. Took longer than expected, mostly due to having to remove both Valhalla cat plates and waiting for things to stop dripping. I'll finish up with ATF drain/fill tomorrow.

Supposedly it holds its charge for several months when not being used. I'm sure someone that's owned one for a while can confirm.

Do you have one? I'm checking out the Amazon reviews, mostly good but a few bad ones. I usually veer mostly toward the positive though.

    Any other recommended brands?

I use mine to power my heated vest. The power pack that comes with the vest lasts 2 hrs on high. I've gone 10 hrs using my jump pack. It still has 50%.

I have two GB40's. I also have their Genious 10 charger. Noco is one of the best brands out there.

I have 3 GB40's (1 in my truck, 1 in my wife's truck and 1 in the boat) I've used them to help others more than myself. I only used mine once on the boat after being out for 10+ hours with livewell pumps running, radio on, phones being charged, etc. I usually charge mine and my wife's 2-3 times a year and the boat one 1-2 times a year (boat gets winterized for 4mo a year). I keep the ones in the trucks in the carrying case shown in earlier posts and the one in the boat is kept in a waterproof dry bag. Solid devices.

Can confirm. Have one in each vehicle. Even on a partial charge it’ll jump your car. I charge them about every 6-8 months.

It would have been super easy if I didn’t already have longer than stock U bolts, as I had to cut them with a grinder to get a deep socket on the nuts for removal. The new U bolts were shorter so I had no issues on installing them with a deep socket. I chose to replace the U bolts since many say they should only be torqued one time. Even having to do some grinding though, it was a 1-1.5 hour job having removed the wheels and jacking up one side at a time.

So far so good, but feel free to ask me for more feedback later as I get more time with them on. I’ll be towing the camper in 2 weeks. I was worried it would stiffen the unloaded ride vs using no bump stops/factory bumps. I can say it has definitely not and has only seemed to have improved dampening. I didn’t use the spacer they sometimes recommend on lifted trucks to get the sumos closer to the frame. I have about 1” gap between the frame and the bump stops and I think that’s good for the time being and shouldn’t limit articulation. They’re very progressive in nature from the feedback I had seen.

Called the local dealership for some front brake pads. They have two different part numbers... Can anyone confirm which one and why they have two?
