Thanks. Have to completely disassemble the hood bulge to install, little invasive because of the welded plastic fasteners used during assembly.

I thought those looked like Vleds when you posted. How did you attach them? The 3M tape?

Thank you. Can I assume you went with two 3" pass through bars and one 3" end bar?

Seems the pass through bars are out of stock with no eta on restock. :(

Yes, and the 10’ extension to get to the parking light circuit. Have to notch out a tiny section of the grille at the end(s) behind the light to pass the wire connector(s) through, 4 - M3 lock washers, washers and screws attach each light from the back through the grille. Screw spacing is perfect for the grille. Wiring is fastened to the top inside of the grille cavity at the mid point between each light, and exits through a grommet in the end of the cavity.

That happens with them, had to wait almost 3 months last year for a 6” red bar. Probably be fine to use 3 end bars, just order the 3 way splitter, or cut the plugs off and wire them together with whatever. Might be little harder to hide wiring, but less notching of the grille.:notsure:

Finally got around to doing the first brake job at 50k miles. I know some people do not like the powerstop z36 rotors but I wanted to give them a try. so far so good but they are barely bed in. I also swapped in stainless steel red pvc coated brake lines, changed the brake fluid, and painted the calipers. Now I just need to do a good spring cleaning and a wax.

Crown. originally I ordered the powerstop lines but they didn't ship for Maybe 6 weeks. I called up powerstop and apparently they don't actually make them anymore.

I've had great luck with the Duplicolor ceramic caliper paint kit. I've done 4 cars or so over the last 10 years. One kit is enough paint to do 2 or 3 cars easily. I dremel, wire wheel, the rotor then clean with brake cleaner and a toothbrush.

It's brush on, I did 2 coats in an hour on each caliper, two calipers at a time. Key is getting the caliper prepped right, nice and clean then after paint you give it MORE than 24 hours to cure, I let mine sit for 48.

This was a weekend project that spilled over to last night. QC on the Napa supplied seals is not up to par.

    The noise:

The issue....20 thou difference between Napa and OEM.

And a vid of how easy it was to remove...

Picked up my truck from the shop for the first repair I did not complete myself, the steering rack replacement.
Labor was $900 which IMO, well worth it. Total with OEM parts that I sourced, $1400 replacement. I’m not stoked on it but the bushings were really bad. I found a great deal on an oem rack for $380 so I just went with that. All new shocks, leaf springs, UCAs, tie rod ends and steering rack has me feeling brand new!

Thats far cheaper than when I had my steering rack replaced about a year ago. On mine, the TRs were seized and they couldnt adjust them for an alignment. Glad the truck is up to snuff now.
