I'd be concerned about that piece of ring you found off your diff.
Clean that rust off with a Scotch Brite pad and keep.and eye on it.

New to me 2015 Crewmax 1794. Finished up the front end upgrade today (minus the bumper caps, still need to get that done). Chrome delete. Pieced together the grille with DIY emblem on the cheap. $360 all in. OEM everything except for the hood bulge (eBay).

I’ve seen dudes do that fiber optic mod above the headliner. That’s crazy cool, but not for me.

How are you securing the boot at the top where it meets the shift knob?

Turn the boot inside out. With top of inside out boot pointing down, and the knob right side up, slip over the shift knob from the bottom of the knob. Secure the top of the boot to the bottom of the knob with a zip tie. Turn the boot outside out.

    Thanks,
I have a Teton Workshop knob, and assume this would work with it too.

Yes, I think it would. If you've the short Teton, you may need to get an adapter to secure the boot to. Something like this (I've no idea if this particular retainer is the correct diameter) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ17GQ7S?th=1

If you've the long Teton, figure attaching the boot to the knob about where the bottom screw is on the knob.

I do have the long version, Wondering if the hole in the boot is big enough to go over the knob or would I need to cut it? Not sure how this would look.

Redline Goods is easy to work with. I'm pretty sure all product is made to order, and that they would customize the top of your boot to whatever circumference you need. To me, just looking at pictures, as I've never seen a Teton in person, the bottom is of similar size to the Tundra TRD knob, so I'm thinking it will fit without modification. I may still have my silver TRD knob. If I can find it, I'll get you the circumference where I have the boot zip tied.

While reinstalling my cat plates, I noticed the rear most one is pressing against the transfer case's skid plate. Does anyone else have this problem?

    PXL_20240304_142903750.jpg

    PXL_20240304_142839596.jpg

I'm guessing this probably isn't necessarily bad, but I can't imagine it being good in any way to have the transfer case being pressed up like that. I think it will clear the plate if I remove the skid - do the bolts holding the skid serve any purpose aside from that? Ie, if I snug them back in finger tight, will that be okay?

Edit: I've added a few washers to try to shim the plate down, but its still touching.

That small transfer skid is supposed to be removed before installing the cat plate.

    Thanks George!

Really wish I had realized this ~25k ago when I put in the plates; there's a bit of wear on the inside of the cat plate where the xfer case skid rubbed against it. Live and learn though...hopefully no long term damage. The xfer case itself appears to be undamaged.

Update to my steering wheel shake, I have one bad K02, the machine requested some absurd amount of weight to balance perfect.

That's a tough-looking truck! Should've timed it so the mere cars behind it weren't there, so it looks like ONLY YOU could make it! :)

Ordered the imitation trd rear sway bar from Amazon, installed and removed the front. Much better with rear on front off vs both off. Rear end tight and front a little loose. Quick shake down run close to home was fun with the fam and mud puddles. Sorry no pics this time.

rattled canned it black as the red gives me ocd bumps.

Went out for a little drive on Saturday to see where the snow level was at. Not quite as low as I would have expected considering the hype the storm got.

    Too many mods to come
Couple things going in this week. Also working on a larger intake tube setup since we believe we’re maxing the maf out on the 4.5” tube. Will also be adding an LS 103mm throttle body while we redo the intake tube to 5”. Should pick up a few more horse powers.

I haven’t been impressed with my last set of odyssey batteries. The new goto I’ve heard is full throttle flame river, if my last set of odysseys wasn’t covered in warranty was going that route.
