AJT steer wheel black out inserts installed today. I was going to get the rear sway bar installed, but the wife skidded off the road due to ice. Damn!

    Cheers

    Brand new cabin air filter!
I can't really say I can notice much of a difference. I haven't really spent too much time driving it. I've only had the truck for a week now and haven't gone full throttle or gone crazy with it yet. The size of the accelerator is much larger than what's in there as stock. I also have yet to install the AFE filter that I have on backorder so i'm sure that combo will and hopefully make some positive change. If your considering getting it, i'd definitly get it, it's a really inexpensive mod. I'm just starting of real simple.

Am tire of this truck 1st unknown noise front front suspension than 2nd steering wobble at 70mph......3rd today i try to take the front left wheel off to inspect ...3 of the lug nut got swollen.....toyota used the cheapest possible lug nut they could have....2 i was able to remove it with a special 22.5mm socket but 1 is so f up i had to cracked the cheap outer chrome shell with my flat head......i never had this issue in my 25 years of owning all type of cars.....when i crack the 22mm shell open...it has a 20mm size nut on the inside......toyota cant u just give us a solid lug!!! Imagine if someone has a flat tire on the road......this tundra will be my last toyota for a while am sick of this cheap truck

Definitely ridiculous... but my guess is that at some point someone continued hammering against those things w/a impact gun after they were already (probably beyond) specs causing that outer layer to start separating.

They should never have 2 layer to start with. I would gladly pay toyota extra 50 100$ for a solid set of lug....

    Totally agree with that!
I had an older (89) Ford Bronco II that had the 2 layer lug nuts. WHAT A MAJOR PITA! Tire store air hammer boys loved to put them on at 110% torque. Which made it great fun to get off when I had a flat while driving the family in the snow with temps near "0" F. Next purchase was decent aftermarket solid lugs. I don't care what they look like.

The heater core or something required replacing (though after diagnosis, it worked fine again. Just had the dealer replace it at their recommendation since 1. It was under warranty and 2. Never know when it could happen again)
The airbag message came on the following morning after I picked up the truck. Drove it maybe 20 miles on Friday (day I picked it up) with no issue or dash alert. Warning came on yesterday morning after about 5 min of driving so I took it by the dealer. Service mgr said it was ok to drive I just wouldn’t have airbags if I needed them and to bring it in Monday for a look since his tech wasn’t there until then. I was fine with it. Drove it about 85 miles yesterday with the warning on, parked it for about 2hrs for my daughter’s basketball game, and started it up and the warning/ issue was gone. Drove it back the 85 or so miles to the house without issue or the warning returning.
I’m thinking it was just like battery disconnected / reset thing from when they had the dash apart repairing the HVAC issue . If it pops up again I’ll take it to the dealer and let them give it a once over again.

All manufactures use that style of lug nuts so your not getting away from it. Change out the lug nuts before they start to swell.

Yep, and it's not just cars and trucks. I just had to replace the lugs on my travel trailer because of this.

Just picked up a Topo Toppers “Badlander” on FB Marketplace, and took it to the local mountain. This is a significant upgrade to the RTT, and I can see this being our new ski lodge for this year’s short (East coast) ski season.

When we replaced the tires on my wife's 2015 Ford Fusion last year at Costco the tire technician found me and told me that all of her lug nuts are swollen and should be replaced. Their replacements were solid, OEM appearing lug nuts. They replaced all 20 at a very reasonable price. IIRC they were something like $35 for the set of 20. At that time I inquired if the had replacement lug nuts for our Tundras and they do for about the same price.

Is there a reason I wouldn't have the option to do this in a 2020 sport? It does't seem to be in the owner's manuel either.

Cracked open the boxes to the Rago dash mount and the ICS lower mount. I will say that the ICS would have been a poor fit as the hole would have been all the way to the edge of the plate to match the Rago mount. I wasn’t a fan so I stopped being lazy, dug through my scrap pile and made my own. I’ll install this week. IMG_6198.jpg
