Thank you sir. That was also a diy project with rustoleum kit & extra flakes & 2 clear coats on top. It’s holding up fine but I don’t expect it to be perfect for years. Thanks to our az sun and heat

Oh is this your store? I was thinking about getting a white front badge and hitch cover (my old plastic one I lasered myself has broken) but wasn't sure on the fitment for the 2.5gen early TRD Pro grille!

Tacos4Cheap has a Tundra listing for some of there products. Grille Badges are pretty universal and in the case of mine, there is an access panel on the top of the grille that pops right off and it took all of about 5 minutes from hood open to hood closed to mount it up. Hardest part is getting back there with loctite and not making a mess, LOL.

I'm sure if you sent them a pic of your specific grille they would respond with whether or not it should fit. The screw studs are about 3" spacing and just has a clamping bracket on the back. Foam backing on badge so it holds very secure without having to overtighten nuts.

@NaturalState4x4 Nice wheels. Saw a guy on the TundraCrew FB page found a set of 4 for $300 total. What a steal! I would have bought those just to have spares!

Ha! That was me! I ALMOST traded a guy for some Rock Warrior wheels, but ultimately decided to keep the TRD PRO wheels.

Pulled the fender flares and liners to clean the wheel wells good. I'm power washing the belly of the truck for last couple of days, yet a half lb of mud dropped down on me.

So, as I thought, a dirt accumulates there and keeps moisture for a long time, which will eventually lead to corrosion hidden until the last moment by the liners. I'm going to coat inner quarters with Noxudol 1600 (asphalt-like mess, with tons of inhibitors) and put reusable retainer clips in there, so I could pull the fenders and liners in 10 minutes next time. That would be on my semi-annual maintenance list.

Also need to fix the paint and apply some 3M film.

Anyhow, the flares worked good. Paint covered by the fenders is the least damaged paint on the whole truck ;)

All of this was done in a preparation for large flexible mud flaps. It's beyond imaginable how much mud the wheels throw under the track. I bring a few shovels of sticky mud back home every time I leave the paved roads.

Last two shots taken is poor under-thought windshield drainage: all the shit that sips down the drain ends up on the lower back corner of fenders. Everyone needs to ply the liner away in that corner and wash everything at least once a year.

Eh, whatever I do to fight the rust I still loose the battle little by little. It creeps everywhere, I can only slow it down :( With such rigorous rust hate I apply to Tundra, my old Volvo would be rust free infinitely, if only I'd get it new and take care from day 1. Toyota is waaay behind the Swedes in corrosion prevention.

New tire day. Since I had such a good experience with Duratracs the first time around, I decided to stick with them. (35% off coupon didn’t hurt either).
I got 47k miles out of the first set. They started slipping on wet pavement at an incline. Rotated every 3k, and they never got loud. New ones feel great.

Just in time to go chase some Elk in Colorado next week. :)

Just want to confirm, knuckles/spindles for our trucks are not 2wd/4wd specific? I'm going to be replacing my Fabtech spindles and want to make sure I don't buy OEM 2wd spindles by accident. I only see one part number per side.

Not an expert but I believe they come with a blocking plate that covers the hole for the axle if 2WD and you remove the cap for 4WD

Nice looking truck! Though I am partial to the midnight black color. I know this is a relative question (and we all know what a pain relatives can be), but how hard was the remote start install?

I thought it was very easy. 2 screws on the steering column, and the rest you can get with a trim puller. 99% plug and play, though there was one wire that I had to tap into for my TPMS light (but that may be specific to my trim level). Even the app and module were easy to set up. Once you purchase, 12 Volt sends you install videos and how-to's.

    My first oil change! :D

Well, first on this truck anyway. In the old days I logged over 800,000 miles on three different trucks, doing all my own changes, every 3K. This truck has 237K on the clock and I had always taken it to the shop. Only now do I realize I had actually been missing it.

While I was at it, I installed a Fumoto valve on the pan, and a Jowett Performance cap (with its own Fumoto) on the filter. This is gonna be SO easy now. I think I'll switch from 10K OCI's to 5K, just for the fun of it, and do my own tranny drain-n-fills. Also got me some ramps and a creeper, neither of which had I ever owned before.

Now, all I gotta do is replace the skid pan that mysteriously disappeared after my LAST oil change. o_O

Oh, edit - I also switched to 5W-30.

I’ve always just used a piece of cardboard to slide around underneath my vehicles. I may need to upgrade to one of these though.
