I bought my kits off ECGS but got some much needed info from Keith. Hopefully you don't run into shim issues like I did, but since you got everything from him, you'll be in good hands.

I'm running a 34" wheel/tire set up. 275/65R20. There was rubbing in the front. I had to remove the front mud flaps (the very small ones). then I unscrewed the plastic, pushed it forward, then re-tightened the screws. No trimming, no sanding, nothing major. No rubbing after that. I knew that going in and was fine with it.

What did you do to black out the silver”wings” on the side of the head unit? Thanks!

You have to grab it when it is on one of the 15 or 20% off sales. It is a major undertaking to rip apart the dash but you find the hidden Texas soul of the Tundra. My motto - buy a Platinum with the high end chrome then replace the chrome with the "low-end" black parts!! (Lots of chrome handles to sell!)

There is a more cost-effective alternative...

Just one little drawback - there is some space it won't cover to allow for the glove box to open. It's a cover so I guess they think it'll stick out too far and hit the glove box door when you open it.

This Charles and @therealjonwick is still holding up great, and has way more coverage:

Complete shots of small areas where coverage is lacking; first is worst, but only evident when glove box is open:

Already have an SR5. I wanted. A platinum but couldn’t swing it. For a sale on those, are you saying on spark parts?

side note, I’ve seen some people selling color matched mirrors and door handles. Will those fit my SR5? I’m thinking no on the door handles since they are the smart unlock touch ones. I doubt mine has the wiring for that. Thanks!

Those look decent! I’m thinking you could dry fit them, look where it’s lacking and use some tape/paint/sharpie to color in the minor gray areas. Thanks!

Did you have the original pro suspension on it? If so, what did you do with that?

I painted mine with SEM Trim Black. It's a different painting experience compared to Krylon. Each coat needs to be very light, and iirc I used 8 coats and let it dry for at least 4 hours. I probably should have added some clear matte, but it's perfect.

I tested some clear matte on my old steering wheel trim pieces with the Trim black and it didn't look that great.

a few other things standing in ... for now.
Yep. Most recent one: decided to take a few minutes to replace radiator hoses on an old Suburban i've been working on. I EVEN HAD IT ALREADY DRAINED!! And then found the factory clamps were turned so there was no way to get to them. Hours + dremel tool + hours.

Tundra related content: Thankful that I find less of this on the Tundra!

Correct! This is a large potential issue with the factory ones when offroading.

Engine will fall and smack the crossmember causing way more damage. The stock mounts are not great from what I have seen.
