Got my old man to modify his Tundie! He upgraded the headlights and taillights to Morimoto and added some Diode Dynamic goodies. The SS5's are mounted to my old light bar mount I briefly used before I upgraded to my eBay bumper.

Just need to paint match his chrome and he'll be set!

Randy Ellis Design. It is the best looking "bull bar" I have found for these trucks. It is sturdy too!

Here's a thread I started when I was trying to initially find it.

And here I thought having my wheels sitting for a month before getting installed was a long wait!
Then again I bought a first gen as a project and it sat for years before I bought my 2.5g and sold it. :anonymous:

Also wanted to mention the massive difference I’m seeing going from 275/55R20 to 285/75R18. This is even despite going from P to LT. All four of my shocks were shot (condition I bought the truck in) and the upgrade to 5100s was good, but the tires were night and day. Noticeable too, the first time towing my father-in-law’s trailer after switching. It’s a heavy, jittery, homemade trailer and it felt soooo much smoother with the new rubber!

Changed the oil! First time, and I'll be doing it from now on! I'd done dealer, then local/WalMart...was looking under it last weekend for cat protection, realized somebody left half the bolts off my factory skid plate, and all the bumper tab bolts).

On the protection, got the Talon front and engine skid plates on! Still need to do trans/cat, but already looks tough AF!PXL_20230612_000514059.jpg

Installed some 6112 @ 1.9 with 1 cb .50 shim. Glad I bought them assembled from wheelers off-road. Hardest part was jacking vehicle up and setting jack stands. Tomorrow will install the rears 5160.

Oh yeah, that thread had someone with tons of mods just sitting on his shelf for years. Kinda funny how similar a lot of us are in that way. I have packaged VLED puddle lights still in my desk drawer since I purchased in 2020.

Went out with a couple of towels to dry out the passenger interior side of my truck after my girlfriend took 5 minutes to get out and close the door in a downpour. To her credit, it was faster than her ~8 minute average time on a sunny day :frusty:

I can walk out of range of my key fob before my wife and 2 teenage daughters get out of the car. Like if we're going to a restaurant or something.

    "Where are you going?"

Hope you aren't dealing with mosquitoes... we sure as hell are. Alot of woods here. I must have at least 50 bites. I found a bone washing up on the beach yesterday....not sure what it's from. I'll post pics of it today.

I'm glad I had my set of lug nuts sockets in the truck.....had to change a tire on the TT at the campground the other day. Thank God I also have an air hose connector on my train horn tank...the spare was a little low.

Whenever I travel out of town, my battery operated impact and 22mm socket go with me to make it easier if needed. Had to go change my mother in laws flat a few months back and it saves so much time than a manual lug wrench.

I found someone selling a cordless impact that matches the rest of my 20V cordless tools for $30, snapped that up and another set of deep impact sockets, and an adapter to run a scissor jack, breaker bar, and now I just need to remember to swap the battery occasionally so it's always at charge. Nice to have that peace of mind under the rear seat.

Also need to remember to occasionally white-lithium lube up the spare drop mechanism so it's accessible!

Yes sir, Brazos Bend State Park south of Rosenberg. I highly recommend, we are on a quest to hit all of the state parks.

we had some but 2 thermacells seem to do the trick. I figured it would be way worse as wet as it is, but we got lucky lol.

The Aquarium just emailed back for photos. I'm guessing that it could be the rear leg area of a Loggerhead but I could be way off.

Do all campgrounds have cement slabs on the sites for the camper/picnic tables in Texas? I haven’t been to a lot of different campgrounds, here I’m Pennsylvania, but the ones I’ve been to have stones for the camper. 3B50F189-6C10-4AF1-B006-C38E954CE68D.jpg
