    Hey fellas!

I bought this 2006 last year, and noticed an amp/other audio equipment in the truck. I am *not* audio literate, and decided there were other things I wanted to take care of first.

So, anyone able to tell me what I have here?

I believe this is an amp, and it’s under the drivers seat. There’s a wire running to the battery (with a 70amp inline fuse), and some other wires that seem to terminate under the passenger side dash.

This is the wire set that terminates under the passenger dash. I apologize for the terrible image quality, but the crimped connections are cut off where they run to another wire set.

This was floating around in the rear under seat storage, clearly an amp interface of some sort, but how does it play in?

    Thanks in advance!

    Alot of them
The Alpine under the seat is an aftermarket amplifier. The other box indicates that it was most likely connected to the factory radio. The other wire bundle is a power wire, and remote turn on for a 2nd amplifier, most likely for a subwoofer amplifier that was removed at some point. You would need to take it to a car audio shop to have it gone through or cleaned up.

    Does your stereo currently work?
-Do you have a stock stereo or is it aftermarket?

*under the seat is a powered amp.
*the interface is usually used to run an aftermarket stereo with existing toyota wiring or Head unit to high level input on the amp....just guessing.
*It kind looks like the pulled everything out and forgot the amp.

    Thanks guys.

@NoRcptn, there is an aftermarket stereo, seems fairly cheap though. Although I’m guessing it’s difficult/impossible to walk me through the process, what would I need to wire in a sub? If it would be better to bring it in (as @Tundra234 mentioned), no worries.

    Thanks again!

It’s not impossible , but it’d be easier to take it to a shop and let them deal with the headache.
