The OEM UCA on the GS uses rubber bushings on the inboard mounts like the Tundra and most others. Sphericals aren't used due to high NVH. The ball joint is a type of spherical, but the Tundra uses those too. https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/lexus-arm-assy-front-suspension-upper-lh~48630-39055.html

The Platinum comes with memory seats.....

The fan roar is a good thing. Mechanical fans are more reliable/durable and also move way more air than electric fans. That's why the LX450, LX470, LX570, LX600, GX470 and GX460 use mechanical fans that roar just like the Toyota versions of each did.

You are wrong on the UCA. I am 10000% sure the OCA are spherical bearings as i just replaced them. You have to purchase the entire UCA, the third pic is not applicable the "bushings are not replaceable" Did you notice the $400? price tag. You are correct about noise, vibration and handling. the shit mevotech aftermarket OCA make a ton of rattling noise at low speeds. Only Lexus has figured it out. reason i replaced the lexus oca is the ball joint wore out not the oca "mounts".

Memory seats (and the electric telescopic steering column) are pointless if you're the only one who drives the vehicle...which is why I excluded that option when I bought my truck.

And 100% agreed on the fans...mechanical fans are incredibly reliable, very easy to diagnose and can modulate their air flow to a degree as well with the fan clutch. The only real weak wear points are the fan mount bearing (Toyota's is very high quality) and the fan clutch itself, which are easy to monitor and check and highly unlikely to suddenly fail. It also keeps the electrical complexity of a vehicle down, which on most vehicles is already excessively high. The only real issue that that the computer can't directly control it, which must really irk some engineers/control freaks. And I like the roar it makes when I start it...

I edited my post for clarity. Inboard mounts use rubber bushings, outer uses a ball joint (which is a type of spherical) on the GS. Toyota/Lexus doesn't consider the ball joints to be serviceable, but the bushings are. However, this is also true on the Tundra, Landcruiser, LX, and GX.

You are still incorrect, the inboard mounts are spherical bearings. not bushings. This weekend when I replace another pos mevotech under warranty i will pry back the seal and take a pic of the bearing if I can so without destroying the seal. I want credit for this rattling POS.

They use bulk oil to obtain bulk discounts in order to make money. The title of this post should be:
What brand of oil does your dealership say it uses?
And if they first ask you what brand you prefer then you are really get your leg pulled. If you ask who their bulk oil supplier is then you may get the correct answer.

What bulk oil they use at the dealership is totally irrelevant to me...I always bring my own good stuff (and my own synthetic media filter) and watch them pour the bottles into the engine...;)

as I said spherical bearings in the control arm. DO NOT BUY MEVOTECH. Their Chinese made shit doesn't last 15K miles. The bearing wears, rattles and you will replace every suspension component before you suspect the a-arm.
