what brand of degreaser do you use?

    what brand of degreaser do you use for under the engine???? it got some super dark grease and oil been their like idk how long, im just trying to figure out where the leak is coming from. thanks i know my english isnt that good, not good with grammar english that much.

    Careful with simple green. It can dry out rubber.

    good to know. i use it once but not for grease just for cleaning some hard stuff, does it kill your paint? jw

    how long do i leave it on? and does it have to be cold or warm engine??? i got like a bottle of it in my garage.

    I spray it down, let it sit, if you have a wire brush or scotch Brite or anything in your kitchen for cleaning scrub it down, then wipe off and hit with brake clean or another round of degreaser. That usually cleans stuff up well if it's really gunked on

    not sure. Once I read it is bad for rubber I stopped using it in the engine bay.
    And to be honest that was 15+ years ago on a Tacoma forum.
    Now I just use it around the house, heavily diluted.

    The Simple Green Pro HD you can buy at Home Depot is safe on rubber and alloys. I use it on everything including decreasing engines and bicycles.

    That's the purple one, it's pretty much safe on everything. The green one will screw up the anodizing on alloys if you let it dwell too long.
