I was set on KO2's but after posting a thread on size, and looking at the threads on what others are using im stuck.

Im using them as all terrains to run lousiana highlines and logging trails and as general hunting tires, so im needing something that handles rock, mud, and being able to pull fords out of the mud. The main purpose is to keep me going untill i get to texas black or oklahoma red lands, and then its superswamper time.

What do you guys and gals use to tear up the trails

I use Toyo open country a/t II's. I had them on my taco and they did amazing. Great traction in snow, mud, and small rock. I looked at other AT and MT tires but went back to what worked for me. If it ain't broke don't fix it kinda thing.

You will get a hundred different responses with what tire is best. From my own personal experience and years of four wheeling in Jeeps and Hummers my personal preference for trails and mud is the Good Year Wrangler MTR w/Kevlar...I have used Nitto G2s as well as BFG A/T. Both very good tires. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with the 3 I mentioned....just depends on use. I also will say I have NEVER gotten stuck on any trail with the Wrangler MTR.

Toyo AT2! I’ve ridden on Goodyears, BFG’s (mud and at), Nitto, Cooper, Dunlop and the Toyo muds. AT2 is the best I’ve had.

God I've got a million tires on my brain for when my factories wear out; Toyo MT, Toyo RT, Nitto TG, Nitto RG, but I keep coming back to the Toyo AT2. Only thing is I want an Extreme model but they're only offered in certain sizes and I'll be sticking with my factory TRD OR 18" wheels.

MTRs probably are the toughest and best MT you can get without going to something extreme but they are noisy. Discount put a set on my Tacoma by accident. I was supposed to get Duratracs. Turned out to be a good thing because I was headed to hunting ranch the next day and one of the Duratracs was defective. They let me run them for a while and i could have kept them for same price. Heck of a deal but did not need on a Prerunner. One tough tire but noisy. I abused the crap out of them for the month I had them and no ill effects.
