With all the sales going on this time of year, it’s a great excuse to buy yourself some gifts for Christmas. So what are you getting?

This year I got the title :woot:and a center console safe.

Picked up a set of 18" TRD Off-Road wheels from a member here and just got my KO2's delivered today for those (gotta wait until the new year to go pickup the wheels though). Also picked up RCI engine, transmission/transfer case & gas tank skids for myself as well. The engine skid is allegedly being delivered today by FedEx but it's coming up on 8pm.

It gets to spend the winter being parked in the garage. Dunno how many winters that will happen, so it better enjoy the privilege while it lasts!

I got my tundra back from the shop yesterday after I hit a deer a month ago. So I guess my tundra gave me a gift by coming home at long last!

A color matched grill and hood bulge are patiently waiting at the house, and I am hoping to install them the day after Christmas.

A hand wax and detail by me. It is a clean truck with only 49k miles. Garaged.

I recently almost traded my truck for a new 2020 Tacoma Off Road (got a wild hair), but I could not live with the size of the Taco, especially the lack of rear seat leg room. I came to my senses and decided to do a few things to my 2016 Tundra and keep it. I took the Leer camper top off in anticipation for the trade to the Taco and I learned I like it off. The Leer camper cap was nice in some ways, but it did ruin the roll down rear window (no air), which is one of the Tundra's best features and it hurt acceleration and gas milage (it feels like it weighs more than people claim). I feel like I have a new truck with it off. If I camped more the topper would be worth it, but I do not.

Smart move, IMO. I originally wanted a 4Runner or a Taco, but then I got in a Tundra. With the cavernous interior and the V8 I just couldn't help myself. I bought it for reliability so I could save money on maintenance costs, but I'm spending it all on mods for the truck. Not so sure I am saving anything!:anonymous:

And I bought a tubing bender. After I build the cage for my Tacoma I plan on building rock sliders for the Tundra.
My Tacoma got an upgraded power steering pump too.

I used to own a 2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition and I loved it (much better rear seat room than the Taco believe it or not), but it only got 17 mpg (combo driving) and it was not as handy as having a truck (my truck gets 15 mpg combo driving) so for 2 mpg I prefer the Tundra. It is worth it for all the extra space and the big bed. Plus it rides better on the highway (4Runner was a little bouncy). The only real benefit for the 4Runner was it was easier to maneuver in parking lots, etc. Plus, I live in TX and men here drive trucks--not SUVs.

These but wont actually roll them until spring when I can get the truck ready so they will clear completely. BMC and 1/2" bumper shims. Ordering wheels in the next few weeks and getting the tires around march sometime.

If any Tundra Peeps wanna have an install party and help me out just let me know!!
