    Hey all,

Just purchased the westcott designs collar lift with the TRD shocks for my 2024 LIMITED OFF ROAD (non-Hybrid). I am a bit confused on running the top Shim or not. For anyone that has done this lift, did you use top shims? Truck is mainly driven on pavement with moderate off-roading every once in a while. just looking to for a lift to clear 35s and better stance, don't really want to compromise drive quality much. I would appreciate the input.

I have a 2024 Platinum non-Hybrid/non-TRD and installed the Westcott 3/1 with the silver CV axles and running 37" tires. I did not install the top shims...no specific reason. Some people use the shims and some don't. I really like the way it drives and truly believe they should have come that way from the factory.

Thanx for the Reply man. your truck looks great. I am just trying to avoid having to put them on then have to take them off and endup paying twice for alignment and install.

This video should help answer your question. If I remember right I think the front shims had his front end a little higher than the rear. Guess it depends if you want to keep some rake. He also has a good video on the Fox 2.5s where he compares them to the wescott trd lift.

i know for sure the the Washer circled in red is for the Front bump Stop spacer to limit travel, but the yellow washer I am not sure where it goes. May be for the top of the rear shocks. I have watched that video 10 times. He does mention about the front bump stop spacer washer, but nothing about where the other washer would go.
