Probably too much snow up there still; during a typical winter it can get pretty thick and this has been a wet winter.

Shout out to @sdde4n for the Pelfreybilt package I recieved today! Made possible by the great efforts @jberry813 & @jlee have done to help and support everyone effected by the bankruptcy and the offroad community.
The BAMF patch was a great surprise!

Any of the SoCal homies on tundraworld? I see they have a group buy for Kings going on and wanted to see if some1 could ask if maybe the tundras could join in the group buy. I don’t wanna really create an account just to ask so can any one hook it up.

The normal way to Big Bear is closed both ways at the 18 and Green Valley Lake because it was washed out. The only ways are from Lucerne Valley, a fire road behind GVL or from the north. The Pioneertown way thru Burns Canyon is still open. You still can’t exit going back south on the 18.

Hi, @Fiestee23! You're right, it does sound fun!! I don't currently have a truck ready for snow play but I'm hoping someone answers up to head up there with you!!

A friend of mine took his family up to ski this weekend in BB (Audi AWD) and had a blast! The drive up and back is long; they went around the back. But the snow is excellent!

And in related news, another buddy just told me that, before that last storm, Mammoth had snowpack of 37' at the top. So more by now. Probably gonna extend the season up there into August!! :eek2: Cray-cray :goingcrazy:.

So if @Marty McFly, our favourite Snow Patrol leader isn't ready to take the puppy out this month, there's a very good chance there will still be snow when he does....

Caution though: waaay to much snow for a bunch of Shenanigans. We gotta wait for easier conditions if we want to go with the usual HUGE entourage.

Does anyone have experience with Hungry Valley SVRA? Is it worth a 5 hour drive? How are the campsites? It looks huge, but how much is Tundra-able?
All of our trails in NorCal are covered in snow, so I'm thinking about putting together a quick trip south in March.

Its about 45 mins from me. It's mostly easy trails. Not much snow in the OHV area itself it's usually up higher still. Theres a ton to explore around and outside the park.
Feel free to DM me and of you have any other questions.

Thanks. It looked like the park was around 3000-4000', so I was hoping that it wasn't covered in snow.

It isn't now. Looks very windy (near the Grapevine pass), and there'll be muff due to snow melt. Looks like it's raining or snowing in nearby higher elevations now.

I would be looking at heading down the weekend of March 16th. The long range forecast is predicting that the rain is going to stop eventually. Maybe I'll get lucky and the week before will be dry, because I'm not a huge fan of mud.

Everything! I dropped all the truck and all parts to Bruce. We're planning to tear down and start building Friday. I keep watching the weather forecast which calls for rain Saturday and Sunday; so far, it looks like not a crazy storm. Hoping for the best!
