There is a small black pin (I’ll use the word “pin” as it pushes through the hole in the weatherstripping into a hole in the door) used at the top outboard corner on each of the 4 doors of my 2017 SR5. The pin for the drivers door is missing which is allowing the weatherstripping to start to come away from the door itself.

I tried to have the local dealership order the part but they ordered the wrong part -twice. Then they told me it only comes with the weatherstripping packet itself. They usually sell it for $85 but would sell it to me for the generous price of $65. All so I can replace a $2 pin (which probably costs Toyota $.02 to make).

Does anyone know of a replacement pin I can use and/or a source for the OEM pin itself? I can post a pic if needed but if you open your tundra drivers door and look at the top left corner you’ll see the black round pin I’m referring to.

    Thank you

Have you checked at a well-stocked hardware store? In my area, some of the Ace-Affiliated stores have a significant assortment of automotive hardware, and I’d bet they carry those.

Do you have a friend with a body shop? They are great for stuff like that.
