Stupid question: how hard is it too steal your tailgate if it's locked?

Do you have a tonneau cover?

I want to say that the access panel is still accessible with the tailgate closed. So if you can get to the backside of the tailgate, you could probably unlock it.

Although just about anything can be stolen if someone is motivated enough

I have a canopy but I'm sure they could pop the locks or smash the glass if they really wanted my tailgate. Not much space to work between my truck and garage, though.

I'm rockin folding tonneau and poplock for the tailgate lock, which is no guarantee of anything, but it sure is convenient not to have to lock/unlock manually anymore.

I would often forget to unlock the tailgate, start the truck, pull up to load tools or whatever, and have to shut off the truck to get in the bed. Got pretty annoying.

very easy... remove the 8 or so screws on the inside tailgate panel and pull on the linkage ....with 2 people and a small power drill 30 seconds .
