Sold my first Tundra in the first pic and regretted it immediately! (We’re having our third child and the AC couldn’t fit a car seat in the back) I made some money on it but she only had 99k miles on her. Anyway, I still miss her. However, a few months later, I found my second tundra (second pic) on fb marketplace and scored a good deal on it. Happy to say I’m back in the 1st gen fam.
Immediately threw on some 5100s front and back and did the LBJs, sway bar links, etc. I’m keeping this one!

Way cheaper to fix and repair than buy a new truck, and given the dubious reliability on new vehicles, my 24 year old Tundra is looking pretty good to me. I paid about 25 K new in 2001 and have never had a breakdown in all that time.

Weren't you looking to potentially trade your AC for a DC previously?

That may be a worthwhile endeavor, trying to find someone in a non-rusty area to trade vehicles with you.

Yes there was a member here looking to trade but he was in Portland, OR and his truck was in worse shape than mine.

I'd be open to the idea but it would be hard to find one that didn't feel like a downgrade. Mine is in amazing shape both inside and out. Plus all the upgrades I've done.

@KSteng sorry to hijack your thread. Welcome back. It appears you found a nice Double Cab.

Double cab life! Our rear door checks are crappy plastic "squeezies" that hold the door open, whereas the front door checks are held in position by steel rollers. If you notice the rear doors are unable to hold themselves open, you might want to replace the door check mechanisms on each side especially with kiddos.
I can't think of other double cab-specific things right now.

Nice double cab! Looks near identical to mine! I can fit 2 car seats and an adult in the back of my double cab, it's the perfect size and my family loves it.

Are you talking about the Nissan part being swapped out, or the Motha Russia set mentioned, or the guy with the 3D printer? Which one did you use and how is it holding up?
