Water pump leak

    Doing a timing belt/water on my 06 double cab. Looks like the water pump was leaking a bit. how important is it to get all that red cleaned up?
    I’ll clean the inside of pump area and the gasket surface, but all those nooks are hard to get to….

    Spray some degreaser/ cleaner solution on there then hose it off. Should come off fairly easy.

    Yup, it's just crystalized coolant. Should dissolve pretty quick.
