Water Bypass Pipes/Tubes

    Hey all, first time posting here and wondering if anyone has had to replace the water bypass tubes on their 5.7L? Mine must have recently gotten a pinhole leak in one of the pipes, causing a slight drop in coolant and some ugliness on the pipe. The new pipes were delivered the other day so I am going to be swapping out over the weekend. Looks like a very straight forward job: 2 bolts, a harness clip and 4 pinch rad hose clamps. I'll be moving the airbox lid and intake pipe to make some more room. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything that might cause me any issues?

    Fig 7-3 my bent hose at the top has given in and is possibly leaking, as wel as my pump... leaking more now due to the trauma...

    I think that may be my next big project. Looks like a pain to do.
    I thought about just running heater hose in place of the steel if I end up tackling this.

    No pics of the job since I wasn’t having a good time. It was a pain in the ass. Rear hoses were stuck on the pipe. Removed air box lid, numerous electrical connections but still a very tight fit. Had I know how difficult the job was, I’d likely have paid to have it done.

    It was an emergency repair. Didn’t have time to “double powder coat”. Your input is greatly appreciated though! Thanks buddy!!!

    Disconnecting pretty straight forward. Fishing it out and putting in the new one was the difficult part. Mostly due to the wiring harness. It helped to remove the camshaft sensor connections and a bracket under the air cleaner that was holding other electrical connections.
